This is the only Whole Foods I've ever been to so I'm not sure on this one's selection versus other stores, but I have to say I wasn't overly impressed. I wasn't disappointed either. They had a few beers here and there that I hadn't seen anywhere else. Probably only about 50 beers available as singles, which compared to some of the places I've been to is a drop in the bucket. An earlier reviewer noted they have a warm selection? I didn't see one, only a cooler wall. That review was from a few years back so maybe they downsized the section.

I can't say much about the service, the beer/wine section was a bit of a ghost town. I didn't see any employees in or around it. The cashier was quite pleasant though. She asked me specifically if a wine sleeve was alright for the one bomber I bought. I find even a little bit of attentiveness from a grocery store clerk to be a positive.

The section looked very well maintained and given the smaller size I doubt turnover is much of an issue. Not much else I can say on that front.

Overall it's not a bad store by any stretch but I certainly would have appreciated a warm beer selection as well as the cooler. Maybe I just missed it? If I go back and find this mystery section I'll be sure to edit my review and bring up points on the selection.

Whole Foods is an ‘upscale’ grocery store [Market] located in West Bloomfield [MI] in one of the many strip malls on busy Orchard Lake Rd. [northwest corner of 14 Mile and Orchard Lake Rd] . Whole Foods has a good selection of beer and wine for a grocery store…OH, and grocery’s too (I never make it to that part of the store).

The market carries good quality brands i.e.; Founders, Dark Horse, Kings, Dragonmead, Sierra Nevada, Unibroue, etc. They appear to be competitively priced on most brands. A person that was stocking shelves was helpful upon request, however, there does not appear that anyone is assigned to service customers in that section of the store.

I especially like Whole Foods, as I can get lost in the beer and wine sections while sending my better half to the produce and grocery sections of the Market.

Very good selection for a supermarket and better than some liquor stores: Founder's Breakfast stout and other Founders, and Dragonmead, and New Belgium A few imports, several craft beers from other states. Nil service but laid out just fine with cold and room temperature verion of most. Few single bottles which is difficult on quotas for the many Canadians. I give a high rating on the available of food with tables and cuttlery making it readily for travellers, though I wouldn’t think I could just crack open a beer
