The thick and well retained head leaves a typically beautiful lace. Perfectly clear w/ a straw hue. The high carbonation accentuates the hop profile and adds to the overall effervescence of this brew. The grassy, spicy, and uniquely Saaz hop nose is quite welcome, although it's comparatively less intense than an unskunked Czech pilser. One would figure that Hallertauer hops would be used considering this is a German brew, but this is all crisp and tasty Saaz. Hop bitterness is quite high and adds to the refreshing nature of this brew. The finish is quite dry and moderately bitter as a German pils should be. Definitely drier and lighter bodied than a good Czech pils, but still very flavorful.

Gold in color with excellent clarity. There's a fingernail of dishwater white resting on top. The aroma is of light malt, German Hallertauer hops, and a touch of...skunk (green bottles...). The taste is a nice blend of light malt and a gentle kiss of German Hallertauer hops. I don't really get skunk other than in the nose. The mouth is very smooth and quaffable.
