Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours cloudy orange with a minuscule head. Smells of wheat, little bit of citrus. Tastes of wheat with an orange, not much else. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, a tad light on the carbonation. Overall, a slightly above average beer.

A tried and true wheat that pours out milky and settles cloudy gold with nice lacing a solid fluffy head. Smell is dominated by wheat malt, not getting much banana or spice. Taste in fronted with banana and moderate clove spiceness with some soft hop bitterness in the finish. Well balanced with characteristic flavors each making their presence known. Light-medium bodied and quick down the pipe ending somewhat short of my expectations. Overall an excellent Weissbier showing.

This beer pours a very hazy golden orange color that is a bit darker than I would expect for the style. The head is huge, luscious, frothy, creamy and bright white. Retention is excellent and there are thick sticky rings of lacing left all over the glass.

Smell is a touch on the subtle side, but still quite nice. Banana and clove dominate, but there is a touch of citrus and bread hiding in the background.

Taste is the same, but the flavors pop a bit more than in the smell. Very flavorful without being too "in your face."

Feel is light and very smooth. Light carbonation makes it come across a tad watery, but this beer is super easy drinking.

Overall a very good hefeweizen. Easy drinking and perfect for summer. I would definitely take Weihenstephaner over it, but this is a more affordable option without sacrificing too much quality.

Franziskaner weizen from munchen; A slightly lighter variant, less sweet, some of the wheat, banana and citrus aromas give a fresh acid for a sunny terrace

Classic hefeweizen with nice estery notes. Compared to other it has some citric characteristics which it's quite enjoyable and makes it an easy drink for the summer days

If you like hefeweissen it does not get any better than Franziskaner and Weihenstephaner. This and Weihenstephaner are the standards to measure others by.
