This is a solid Oktoberfest on the amber side of the scale. Toasty malt is most prominent with some mild spicy hops and a hint of dark fruits - maybe raisins or dates. Very tasty but I'm not crazy about the green bottle. nb

Mostly malt aroma with a perfect amount of carbonation which helped produce a great feel. This was unoffensive in any way ,just a really comfortable beer to sit back and have a few

On tap at an Oktoberfest party at the British Open pub. Dark amber with inch head. Dark bread tones and some sweet caramel. A fine beer with schnitzel.

I had this on draught at Redd's Biergarten in Newark, NJ. Served in a Spaten stein. It pours a lovely amber with ruby hues and a thick, fluffy, milk-white head and attractive lacing that retains its integrity through the pour. The nose is rather subdued but includes roasted malts, brown bread, nuts, and a whiff of caramel. It is a typical Marzen with tastes of dark bread and nuts and a subtle but noticeable caramel sweetness. It's medium roasty. It's medium-bodied with pleasant carbonation and is really easy to drink with its temperate 5.9% ABV. I didn't feel guilty about ordering a second stein. Overall, this is a fine Marzen. Not the best I've had but tasty and pleasurable. Marzens are about the pleasure of the moment and this one came through very nicely.
