A- pours an amber-copper color with an inch and a half frothy white head that shrinks to a small layer that skims the top.

S- crisp malt, spicy hops, toasted bread, and a bit of skunkiness.

T- Lots of malt, more dry than sweet, with a sharp hop bitterness on the back end, pretty well balanced.

M- crisp and silky, good carbonation

O- A good Oktoberfest. However I can't help but think that it's much better fresh, rather than after shipped overseas. But it is what it is.

From a 12 oz. bottle. My second of this style. A good lager.

A- Nice dark pour, as in a ruby chestnut hue, with a one and one half finger head. Nice appearing; as in, made me ponder anew the lager style beers.

S- Smells sweet of caramel and malts, with slight fruitiness from the hops and grains, than less so from the yeast.

T- Very much lager in the taste, which never compares to ale, in my opinion, but the flavor was good, and much more developed than the all too popular, according to the commercials, adjunct lager style.

M- Good carbonation, but not quite crisp enough for a lager, but I liked the mouthfeel of this, more as a beer, than a lager.

O- I would rate this 3.75, but expect my overall rating to be higher than I would assign. A good, but not great beer, and I liked this better than Samuel Adams' Octoberfest.
