Stopped in here earlier today since it is right down the street from my aunt's place where we are staying while in town. Not really sure what all the fuss is about honestly, if you include the wine and spirits I can kinda see why people love it so much. They have one long open cooler displaying all of the beers. Atmosphere was like any grocery store bottle area, a few people milling around and one or two people floating around to help them. Quality was decent but nothing amazing, most bottles were in date but they had three Mikkeller IPA's from three years ago. Service was good. I was approached by two different workers asking if I needed help. Selection was pretty good overall. Lots of locals and nationals and even some europeans mixed in. The hopslam, eclipse stout and woodcut stood out from the rest but at the prices they wanted for them I passed. Overall a decent enough grocery bottle shop but nothing overly special.

Stopped in here to pick up some brews to take home at the end of a week long trip around AZ. I was a little bit skeptical about a grocery store having the best selection in the area, but the reviews were very positive and we were already going to the Frank Lloyd Wright museum just down the street so I decided to give it a shot. Well, it lived up to the ratings quite well. A very large selection of craft beer, comparable to that of most better beer stores and as a bonus, it is ALL refrigerated. They clearly carry pretty much everything that is available in the area and it is definitely a worthwhile place to shop.

Went here back in march 2011, I really enjoyed this place, had a really great selection of offerings that i can not get in minnesota, all in the cooler!!. green flash, stone (at the time) picked up a few IRS, while i was thier, and a few 2010 abyss. also have a nice selection of food to go along with your brew. The service was also great, I called thier before i flew down and they really helpful with all my wants, making sure they had them and held a few bottles for me. If you make it down to scottsdale check this place out for sure.

Let me start by saying I did my homework on a place to hit to buy beer while on a business trip out here from the Detroit area. This AJ's was rated highest, so I thought I would give it a shot, and boy am I glad I did. Jonpol (cellarmaster for this particular AJ's) was outstanding. He walked right over to me, asked if I needed help, and I told him where i was form and what I was looking for. We then spent a solid hour or so talking about various beers, telling me his thoughts, and just having some solid conversation. All in all a great place to pick out beer with over 500 different beers, and all in the cooler to boot! And finally I happened to stumble in a day when all bombers were 10% off. Very highly recommended.

Formerly one of the best beer selection in Phoenix area, with knowledgeable staff in the beer department. Virtually all beers are refrigerated and many hard to find items are in stock well before they were found at other places. I've found many of the best Mikkeller products here, which were unavailable at other places for some time.

Convenience is great in many respects because there's so much else to buy here that BA's might be interested in - food to pair with the beer, and of course other alcoholic beverages such as premium spirits. Their hours are quite flexible too, especially if you shop during the daytime (this isn't like some of the competition that won't sell you a beer until 2pm).

On holiday, I needed to find a LBS, but appearantly Arizonians in whole don't care much about craft beer (?). There was nothing to be found, so I was recommended to stop here. Lots of the standard fare, but I almost wet myself when I found the "craft" offerings. These lucky bastards have Deschutes (and lots of other West Coast representation, of course) in regular rotation! I'm sure it's taken for granted. Good for them. You will find something to drink.
Clean, properly stored, and the beer manager was on hand to B.S. with.

Stopped in on a business trip to Arizona. Pure luck as I was directed there from another beer store with a fairly limited selection. I was very pleased with their selection, they had a sign on the wall boasting over 500 beers. Many Belgian options, I picked up a Saison Dupont, a Petrus, and a Gulden Drak. I was also pleased to find a nice selection of Stone, which I cannot get in Baltimore. Service was good, although it may have been luck, as the beer manager was working in the area and offered his advice if I needed it. I suspect if he is not there, you are on your own. Prices were reasonable, but since I don't know what they are like overall in AZ, take that with a grain of salt. All in all, I highly recommend it.
