Flavor is a bit lacking, fairly light almost watery for a bock, land a bit to close to an American-style macro lager, a bit more malt to it then that, that but not a lot more. Light toasted-barley and caramel notes to it with a ghostly hint of black tea and faintly metallic quality to it. Very faint trace of hops on the back-end enough to taste it but not enough to really get an impression of flavor. Light bodied with a slightly lower carbonation. Not much of a Bock-style beer but lighter and easier drinking, a bit more malt flavor to it then an average macro lager but, it feels like the closest comparison.

Shiner Bock taste too much like Budweiser. I expected more of a dark lager like in Germany. All it delivered was a very hoppy American Beer. Not at all a Bock which the name suggests. Only a faint bitter taste and the an odd after taste.

If you want a Bock style beer look away from this beer.

A great beer for a hot summer day when 1-2, then 3 and 4 .... then 5 or 6 or SEVEN are not enough!

Pours amber with an off white head. there is a sweet malt aroma with the first smells, Its a very light bodied beer with sweeter flavor. very crisp and refreshing for the style. It is a very seasonable beer.

Not as sharp of a taste as a normal bock. Almost tastes like a miller lite and a blue moon had a kid

Surprisingly tastes like an American adjunct lager even though it’s classified as a bock. Nice and easy to drink. Pours out darker amber color, some mild head without much lingering lacing. Smells very faintly of sweet malt. Tastes of grain, caramel, biscuit, sweet malt and again reminds me of an AAL. Clean finish with moderate carbonation that fades as the beer warms. Thin mouthfeel. Not bad but I wouldn’t pick it as my go-to Bock.
