A: Straw in color, and bordering on golden, this brew boasts decent lacing, but a weak head. Clarity is good.
S: Bouquet is surprisingly faint, especially given the style. I was expecting a torrent of smoke, but was left with next-to nothing. No hops, no malts, just a touch of smoke.
T: Smooth malty body is bready and light. The smoke is faint, rating around a 4 on my scale to 10. Taste is definitely this brew's strong point.
M: Medium body is coupled with plenty of prickly carbonation to deliver an enjoyable feel.
D: Overall, not one of my favorite Rauchbiers. It is still quite good, but I feel that it doen't compare to the others I've had. This may be due to the extremely low level of smoke present in this brew. Either way, it is well worth a try.
