This is the same beer as Shiner Spezial Leicht.

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the grain with nothing else going on. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of grain and some grassy notes. This beer tastes almost exactly like Miller Lite, which I assume is what the brewers were going for., Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Pale yellow with a very thin white head.

Smell: Sweeter corn and grassy notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste was bland, corn and grassy like notes.

Overall: Not very good honestly. Oh well, had to try it.

L: pours brilliant pale straw as streams of bubbles rapidly rise to form a thin white sudsy foam cap with moderate to poor retention. T

S: light grain, a hint of cracker, light floral hops and a hint of fruit. The malt and hop aromas are medium low.

T: mild malty sweetness becoming more grainy with light bread crumb notes as it crosses the tongue. There is a faint trace of fruit but overall it has a clean fermentation character. Hop flavor and bitterness are low and the balance is towards the malt. It finishes medium dry.
F: body is light and the carbonation is medium high.

O: This is a light beer with a smidgen more flavor than the norm for light beer.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) bottle into a conical pint glass; no production information in evidence.
A: Pours a crystal clear, straw to golden color with a one inch, white head, low retention (although a solid rim) and minimal lacing.
S: Aromas of bread and light grain and a grassy/forest note.
T: Semisweet with flavors largely following the nose. Very light bitterness, leading to a crisp, clean finish.
M: Very light bodied with persistent, if light, carbonation (always evident on swirling). Refreshing.
O: I found this surprisingly flavorful for a light beer (99 calories) essentially in the AAL category. Found the overall scoring a bit unfairly low. I could envision this on a hot summer day pairing nicely with line.

Pretty boring, too light for me. Not much flavor, tastes cheap.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma is corn and grass, not bad
Appearance- A pale yellow color with a small white head
Taste- Ok flavor, but has a metallic aftertaste. It faded with each beer I drank (go figure, LOL)
Overall, an average beer at best.

Purchased a 12 -pack of this to share with a friend while out at the lake. The word 'light' had me not expecting much ...

A- Bright lemony yellow with high carbonation and a large white head when pured into pint glass.

S- One note: Light sweet malt scent.

T- Malt, very light. Slight hop bitterness and a slightly skunky aftertaste.

M- Light-bodied, smooth.

O- Meh ... Certainly a step down from other Shiner brews. I guess it's probably a step up from the so-called yellow fizzy beers and at least your money goes to a smaller brewery than InBev or Miller-Coors ... Am I grasping at straws?
