This is the same beer as Shiner Spezial Leicht.

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the grain with nothing else going on. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of grain and some grassy notes. This beer tastes almost exactly like Miller Lite, which I assume is what the brewers were going for., Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Pale yellow with a very thin white head.

Smell: Sweeter corn and grassy notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste was bland, corn and grassy like notes.

Overall: Not very good honestly. Oh well, had to try it.

This literally tastes like - you know what? If I mixed a Bud Light (but, actually more like a lime added or a Pabst Blue with some really GOOD Leffe or some dank BELGIAN beer. It's REALLY good beer. Anyone saying less of this beer is LYING. Do not believe them. This is fantastic!!!! Enjoyed greatly. Love that 'shy' unassuming nature of this beer... seriously. It's a turn on!!!

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma is corn and grass, not bad
Appearance- A pale yellow color with a small white head
Taste- Ok flavor, but has a metallic aftertaste. It faded with each beer I drank (go figure, LOL)
Overall, an average beer at best.

Purchased a 12 -pack of this to share with a friend while out at the lake. The word 'light' had me not expecting much ...

A- Bright lemony yellow with high carbonation and a large white head when pured into pint glass.

S- One note: Light sweet malt scent.

T- Malt, very light. Slight hop bitterness and a slightly skunky aftertaste.

M- Light-bodied, smooth.

O- Meh ... Certainly a step down from other Shiner brews. I guess it's probably a step up from the so-called yellow fizzy beers and at least your money goes to a smaller brewery than InBev or Miller-Coors ... Am I grasping at straws?

Appearance. Poured 1 12oz bottle into a pint glass. About the same color as Budweiser (not Bud Light), possibly a little less yellow and a little more golden. White head at 1-2 fingers (last 1/4-1/5 poured down center of glass to agitate the brew), never fully dissipates but does thin to a film of 1-3 bubbles thick after a minute or 2. Lots of lacing when drank in 5-8 minutes.
Smell. Smells like a light lager. Not like a Budweiser lager but a real lager, just less intense. Mild hops and mild malt.
Taste. Given a choice of this and any other light lager I've had (American light as in the 4.2ish ABV lagers), it is the best. It is in a class of it's own as far a lights go. There is more hop bitterness on the palate but it's no IPA/IPL. It is good and does not need malt to balance it off. I also don't taste any sweetness, which is different and I like that.
Feel. Feels light and foamy. Like a pale lager should. Carbonation balances the bitterness somehow.
Overall: if money is no object, I'd buy a $10 6 pack of these over a $10 12 pack of Bud or Busch or Coors Light. Honestly, it doesn't belong to be compared to those beers. It isn't just sweet and slightly hoppy water like those macro brews (and yes, I drink macrobrews as well as microbrews. Get over it. You can like both). This beer is not bad. If it were at a bar with other micros, I would order a couple of these. It is a ligitamately good pale lager. Hand down best "light" I've ever had and better (as in a more pleasant taste) than a lot of lagers I have had. And that in itself is a feat. Give it a try even if you don't care for light/pale lagers. I know I don't usually drink 'em, but this one could be a regular.

Pours out to a thin white sudsy head that lasts but does not lace. Very pale yellow and lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma is very light and grainy and slightly grassy. Flavor is very light and thin. Not much going on. Reminds me of another all malt low-cal/low-carb beer that is no longer brewed. For what it is it is OK.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of grains, malts, a hint of sweetness. Taste is bland. Grains, light malts, refreshing but lacking in flavor. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall, nothing offensive, just not much going on at all. I would have went with "light lager" on the beer style.
