12 oz bottle, poured into a goblet

Appearance: Pours a semi-clear, golden, straw color with a quarter of a finger of white-colored head that quickly dissolved into a thin lacing of foam that gripped the sides of the glass and partially covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Not much of an aroma at all. I get some faint notes of toasted malt, some floral, barnyard-y aromas of clover, straw, honey-suckle and Belgian yeast. There’s also a touch of caramel, banana and bubblegum.

Taste: The beer tastes ok. There’s some strong flavors of toasted malt, imparting notes of crackers or stale bread, followed by some caramel-like sweetness, some clove, a touch of banana, a touch of bubblegum, a touch of coriander and a touch of sourness at the finish.

Mouthfeel: A little thin, with some decent carbonation. With an ABV of 5.7%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is an ok beer. There’s some decent flavors of toasted malt and caramel-like sweetness, but the touch or sourness at the finish throws it off for me. There are much better Saisons out there, so I’d pass on this one.

Surprised, this was actually a pretty nice saison. Elements of honey, meadow, some floral notes, and the yeast lilt. Soft and easy to drink. One of Shiner’s better brews.

While I don't think this is Shiner's best performance, it's certainly not a pushover. This is a truly good beer on its own. I just can't help but comparing it to their Bock. This one lacks the complexity and strength of flavor that Bock has, but it is a very good drink. It isn't too strong, but definitely fills the palate. I would drink this again.

Another delicious beer from Shiner. Too bad it's seasonal. Full flavor not watered down. Wheaty flavor and aroma. Nice full bodied beer. Smooth tasting too would recommend

Clean crisp beer that is best in the spring and early summer. It's a refreshing beer that I often enjoy after mowing the grass or working in the sun.
