poured from an 11.5 oz bottle. purchased at asian grocery store for $5.59. 8.5% abv. poured into a 16 oz mason jar.
look: opaque, unnatural green. 2 inch green head, lasts a bit, leaving fine lacing.
smell: floral hops, honey, tea.
taste: the matcha and hops hit together, some sweetness and maltiness join in. not sure if it’s a dance or a fight, but I am going in again. alcohol well hidden.
Feel: medium carbonation, full bodied mouth feel.
overall: A unique beer experience. The tea and the hops have some common ground. I did enjoy the beer, and it’s 8.5% abv did help. At $5.59 I will have to be pretty nostalgic to buy it again.

Bought a single 11.15oz bottle $5.29 Don Quijote
No bottle date
Smells sweet initially, followed by faint tea smell
Dark green color. Food coloring dye yellow and blue listed on bottle so not a natural tea color
Medium-heavy mouthfeel
High carbonation
Tastes of malts, tea, hops
Overall a nice unique IPA. Makes me want to try their other Japanese influenced beers.

Sweet, sweet green tea, vegetal matcha vibes, and a slight hint of hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with straight matcha-green tea upfront and then a hint of hoppy and green tea bitterness on the finish. This is different, but it works! And...I mean...it makes me nostalgic for my time in Japan!

On-tap at Wagamama, New York, NY
A: The beer is very dark green in color—opaque when viewed from afar. It poured with a quarter finger high lime green head.
S: Moderate aromas of green tea and caramel malts are present in the nose. Hints of sweetness become noticeable as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of green tea along with notes of pale and caramel malts and hints of green apples. There is a light amount of bitterness
M: It feels nearly medium-bodies and dry and chalky on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very unique and is has a nice balance between green tea and malty flavors.
