Can into a snifter appears clear golden yellow in color with a white cap 2 fingers strong that holds well.
Aroma is herbal and fruity with hops with a slight cheese-stink to it. Soft fresh grain resides underneath.
Taste is slightly sweet and malty with a hint of caramel before getting a bit buttery and vegetal. Slight fruity alcohol feel towards the back and finishes a bit like under-ripe cantaloupe.
Medium in body and modestly carbonated. Not bad but not great either.

Pours golden in color with an orange hue and a subtle haze to it. Head falls off fast. Smells of oranges, ripe citrus, with some earthy, tea-like herbal notes in the background. Flavor is well-balanced, enough malt backbone to let the simcoe hops display themselves without running wild. Mild, restrained citrus notes with a relatively tart, puckering finish. It's high abv is very well hidden somewhere in there. Mouthfeel is more than medium bodied but not quite heavy either. Jackie O's always makes good stuff.

Golden yellow, small head that dissipates quickly-clouds of sticky lacing cling to the glass. Waves of sweet tropical fruit with an aspirin like bitter dry finish. Very smooth and medium bodied. A really nice brew that hides the ABV well. A winner and recommended.

12oz can, canned on 09-21-16. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: Hazy translucent with a hint of amber. Rocky off white head died down slowly to a thin skin across the top. Lots of lacing in fine strands and thick sheets all over the glass.
Smell: Pineapple, hint of citrus, some dankness and herbal notes.
Taste: Nicely hoppy. PIneapple, a honey-like sweetness, citrus, and long lingering piney finish.
Mouthfeel: Nice thickness. Light carbonation. Smooth but with some lingering stickiness on the teeth from all the hop oils.
Overall / Drinkability: A very good single hop DIPA. Very drinkable and I would not mind a 16oz can of this. A nice sipping beer, but also good with food, which was fry bread and pork/hominy pozole. I'll definitely have to see this one out again.

12 oz can poured into snifter canned on 9/20
A: Light amber orange body with a slight haziness. Head was fairly small tiny bubbled looked creamy but disappeared quickly.
S: grapefruit, pineapple, a little herbal, lots of citrus.
T: Very citrusy, tangerine, grapefruit, some pineapple the malts are there but mostly light crackery on the finish.
M: Medium bodied about average carbonation finishes fairly clean doesn't cling.
O: A very good single hopped beer. If you like Jai Alai its like that, but on steroids with less maltiness on the end. This was much better than their Citra version.

13oz tulip for $6.25 at Ray's in Kent, OH.
Slightly hazy, straw-yellow elixir, 3mm, white foam with heavy lacing.
Lemon, grapefruit, orange, pine, dank hops.
The sweetness of the tropical fruits is balanced by the pine, earth and spice that make the Simcoe hops favored by hopheads.
Medium body, smooth, alcohol well hidden.
A nice single hop DIPA that allows the Simcoe variety to shine. Nicely done.

Canned on 9-16-16, poured into a tulip glass.
L- Deep golden color, good clarity, two finger white head.
S- Pineapple, dank pine, little bit of floral, just a touch of the alcohol comes through as it warms.
T- Similar to aroma with pineapple leading then some pine and floral notes.
F- Nice light mouthfeel for the abv.
O- A very nice light malt bill here leads the way for the single hop usage to shine through. A nice expression of Simcoe hops and actually helped me out in a homebrew I was doing.

Gold-amber with a moderate creamy white head and cobwebs of lace.
Smell is eye-popping dank, sticky tangerine, pine and nice green mango.
Taste is piney lemon, orange rind, with cornbread-like malt.
A slight bitter bite nips on an otherwise light to moderate bodied beer with a little frothiness to it.

Single hop IIPA brewed with Simcoe. Canned on 9/16/16. Poured into a Goose Island tulip. Beautiful straw-colored pour with 3 fingers of very well-sustained fluffy white foam on top. On the nose I smell lemon, grapefruit, toasted malt, fresh linen, and a hint of herbal tea.
Medium body with a firm feel and a wonderful hoppy flavor. Very intense citrus-like bitterness throughout, but still balanced by a honey-like toasted malt presence that complements the hops perfectly. Strong flavors of lemon zest and grapefruit juice, but very pleasant and refreshing. No booziness at all.
A fantastic IIPA. Reminds me of Victory Hop Ranch, but with more intense hop flavors and a slightly more substantial body. Glad I was able to find this. It's not cheap ($17 for the sixer), but I would buy it again without hesitation. Hope to come across some other incantations of this beer in the near future.

A week old at time of review!
Pours out a hazy burnt orange.
Aroma starts off with bright citrus notes, goes into pine and floral with just a hint of tropical fruits as well.
The taste starts off with lots of orange and grapefruit which are undercut by hints of pineapple, mango and peach. Very floral and grassy with a big piney finish. Decently bitter too.
Fuller side of medium bodied, somewhat creamy mouthfeel and super smooth for 9%!
Great beer, but I prefer Citra for sure.

Canned on 9/16/16. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a very hazy golden with a fluffy white head that sticks around leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are floral with some subtle citrus and tropical notes. Some bready malts are there. The aromas are nice, but balanced and not overwhelming. The flavors seem to follow the nose. Lots of grapefruit with some hints of pineapple. Some subtle pine notes. Solid malt backbone, but the hops still seem to shine. Slightly spicy. Solid bitterness. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very creamy and fluffy. Very smooth and easy to drink. Dangerously drinkable.
This is a nice DIPA. It might not be flashy, but it does a nice job of showcasing simcoe hops. It's well crafted and is enjoyable stuff. It's probably better than my "numerical score" might indicate.

Clear yellow look.
Smells amazing: tons of floral aromas, some pine, fresh cut grass and very faint tropical fruits.
Taste follows smell pretty well with an added cracker malt presence, some faint alcohol heat.
Feel: not super full-bodied, but not watery. Adequate for the style. Some lingering piney bitterness and a touch of heat.
Overall: pretty awesome beer. The mandala series from Jackie Os is nice.
