Color is apricot-orange, with minimal film on top.

Strongly acetic aroma of apricot, tangerine, and lemon with a little barn funk.

It is much lighter and more balanced in taste, offering one of the most drinkable, tart grapefruit-like drinks I've had. I'm also getting a little lemon, and a soft oak presence.

Feel is very pillowy soft with an ultra frothy body which is quite an achievement for these flavor profiles.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Medium amber body. Medium white head and collar.

Smell - Lots of wine. Toasty malts. A little caramel. Yogurty.

Taste - Kinda tart. Still has a hefty caramel malt presence. Mildly sour. Lots of white wine flavor in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Kinda heavy for the style. Moderate sourness.

Overall - I wouldn't peg this as a saison without help from the label. It's kinda heavy on the caramel. Heavily dominated by the wine flavors.

22oz bottle poured into a Jackie O's snifter.

A: Rich honey color with a thin bone-white head that quickly dissipates into a faint collar.
S: Slight aroma of grape must and tartness with elements of peaches/apricots and a subtle note of wood/tannins/earth.
T: Complex fruit character with elements of peach/tangerine/pineapple/apricot, musty undertone with some tannins/earth, subtle oak/vanilla notes.
M: Nicely carbonated to pop on the tongue and spread the flavor over the palate. Medium bodied and well attenuated.
O: This is a great sour but not overly acidic; very complex and flavorful, definitely not one-dimensional.
