Pale gold no head
Smell is lemon and horse blanket.
Taste is much the same, lemon, horse blanket, hay, and a milkiness.
Very dry finish, which is the one positive to take away since the taste doesn't linger, that is, if this kind of Brett-heavy saison is not your thing.

Bottle 28/400, poured into a tulip glass
A- pours a clear and bright golden color with a small fizzy white head that dissapears completely, leaving just a ring around the edge 3.5
S- slightly funky aroma up front with some notes of dried hay & cheese, earthy aromas mixes with herbal notes with an emphasis on lavender, lemongrass, dill, floral & a peppery spice 3.75
T- lemon flavored tartness hits the palate immediately, followed by some musty yeast that gives notes of hay & wheat, lavender and basil flavors eventually lead to a slightly sweet honey finish 4
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel with a dry and tart crisp finish 4
O- there some funk in there, but it's not a lot. It's still well balanced with the additon of the herbs, with the honey providing a subtle sweetness 3.75

Bomber...bottle 113/400...2014. Thanks to Bill for the opportunity!
Hazed yellow with a short lived cap. Smells of spring flower and light honey with just a touch of tartness. Taste shows a floral mix, honey sweetness which seems to provide a creaminess to the body, a light lemon here as well, and just a smattering of webby bugs.
Typically find Jackie O's stouts to be a major disappointment with their other beers more hit or miss. Yeast is unobtrusive, bugs are pleasant but not boisterous, and the lemon tartness is really kept in check. Could be suggestive, but the honey feels like it plays a big role here.
Overall a mild saison that hits more good notes than not. Thanks again, Bill.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Orange body. Medium white head. Settles quickly. Thin vollar.
Smell - Mmm. Lemony. Herbal. Lactic acidity. I hate to say it, but you can smell the Crooked Stave in this.
Taste - Bright citrus. Orange. Lemony. Wheaty grain. Less herbal, but it's still there.
Mouthfeel - Medium low carbonation. Detracts from the crispness.
Overall - Seldom do I like a Jackie O's beer, but this is very good.
