Clean, hop forward aroma. Pours a clear, pale straw color with a white head. Light bodied, a touch of malt sweetness, then tropical fruit and bright fruity hop notes fading to a mild bitter finish. A little simple, but a nice easy drinking session beer.

Can dated 2-2-17. DFH Tulip.

A: pours a dark copper gold with 1 finger just off white carbonation that recedes quickly. Lots of carbonation sticking to the sides of the glass. Modest retention, excellent lacing. Beautiful can art.

S: I am pleasantly surprised here. Very much the new wave floral and resin hops but with a touch more tropical-ish citrus. Mandarin oranges, but dry.

T: yeah, hopwater. Bone dry Resiny arrival. Crisp middle turning to a lingering piney finish.

M: thin, well-carbonated, and refreshing. Some lingering slickness, surprisingly.

O: I am really getting into the session IPA thing, and have found two or three I like, but this one lags a little behind those on account of taste and texture. Aroma and appearance are spot on for this though.

Pours a light copper-gold with a big creamy head that makes it look bigger than 4.5%. Nose is orange rind with a touch of pine rounding it out. Fresh and clean, and again, by for a 4.5% beer. Taste is where it lets down. Watery. However, it a very clean and has a nice lingering bitterness. IMHO, the would be a great hot summer beer vs a spring seasonal.

Appearance: Golden yellow with a decent bit of haze. Soapy half finger of head. Minimal lacing. 4/5

Smell: Canned over four months ago, but wow -- potent. Very fresh smelling piney, dank hops. Not much else to say. Modet floral and citrus characteristics at best ... mostly piney, raw hops. 4/5

Taste: Follows the nose. Resinous hops all over the place with a sticky and bitter finish with just a little bit of malty sweetness. Not a ton of depth, but the raw hop flavor is delicious. 4.25/5

Feel: Medium body with high carbonation. Works perfectly well with the style. 4.5/5

Well done. A little unbalanced/on the bitter side, but it's about what I'd expect from a Light IPA. Not my favorite style, but I can respect what was done here.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 3/2/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, apricot, citrus rind, pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, apricot, citrus rind, pine, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very good session IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
