Notes:
Over the course of 3 months, Perpetum naturally becomes tart and full of character. A unique solera method, created using a proprietary yeast blend, ensures consistency and perpetual motion. Inspired by traditional Berliner Weisse style ales from northern Germany. Conditioning on fresh cucumbers and ginger brings a cool and juicy balance to our bright and lively house sour wheat ale. No kettles were soured in the making of this beer.

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice clear golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Big aromas of fresh cucumbers. Very bright slightly vegetative. Really bright with just a flash of ginger.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of cucumber up front. Not much ginger. There is good light acidity, faint crackers. Good lingering tartness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, good body, little flemmy.
O - Overall this was a very solid beer with lovely cucumber notes. Really enjoyable.

Thanx to rudzud
Light fizzy small head, some lacing but little retention, slightly clear golden color
Nose starts with tart sour funk then big cucumber, big fresh cucumber, little light ginger, little fruit sour
Taste very sour, tart lemony funk, bright acidity, some cucumber up front but not a ton like the nose but some, hint of ginger, but not much, more on the back end, no malt, flemmy tart lemony finish
Mouth is med to lighter bod, flemmy bright acidity, medium higher carb
Overall pretty good, good base sour on the taste, great cucumber aroma but less on the taste although it came through more as it went, and a bit flemmy, but mostly lack of ginger keeping it from being higher

Hazy pale straw color with no head except for a very shy minuscule film.
Taste is like toasted cracker with an almost roasted-esque cucumber that's a little smokey or earthy with a hint of salt and funk that makes this closer to a pickle without the dill. The funk that is present has a gruyere essence, and a little spice of ginger comes up in the finish, but not much. As it warms I get some lemon and mixed nuts.
Mouthfeel is slick and round, thick at the top of the palate, but thinning at the swallow with a tart, slight sting and a semi-dry, sticky finish.
Smell is crisper than taste, with cracker, and a lighter funk and cucumber than the flavor exhibits. The nose comes across as more refreshing than it turns out to be on the palate. There's also a dash of lemon on the nose.
In April 2018, this was much better after time. I found it a lot more enjoyable than when it was first bottled--cleaner and brighter, more expressive and tart, but less distinct cucumber and ginger character.

On tap at JO's
Pours a pale clear straw color with a small foamy white head. Smells of ginger, lemongrass, toasted wheat and light funk. Tastes of clean fresh cucumber up front, followed by spicy ginger, lemon peel, toasted wheat and some lactic tartness, finishes dry with more wheat. Light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish. Outstanding Berliner with unbeatable drinkability

On tap at CBC 2016. Clear pale yellow with a white head. Tons of cucumber and lemons, like a salad dressing. Super refreshing. A total surprise, when it comes to style, from Jackie O's.
