Wonderful beer. Aromas and taste of raisins, brown sugar, maybe a touch of caramel and more...this is very complex. Pours a dark brown with lots of lacing left. The best brown ale I've had to date. Wish this was more available.

Dark mahogany with a soft, tan head and sheets of fluid lacing.
Smells like soft, toasted malt and light caramel.
Soft and frothy texture with some vanilla, and some smokey and nutty notes. A slight dryness goes well with the creamy frothy texture.

Thoroughly enjoyed from the growler via the Little Lady's Son and his Little Lady---Thanks Jerry and Sidney!
Straight from the source, this nice brown ale pours a deep muddy brown with a firm head of light tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and light lacing. Nose of sweet brown sugars, strong booze, earthy spicy malt notes, and subtle raisins. Flavors exceed the nose with brown sugars and a baked rye (buckwheat) spiced bread flavor mingling with raisins and cherries that fades towards the back with warming alcohol. Sweet and lightly bitter malt aftertaste with a light spice, light carbonation, full mouth feel that is coating and smooth. Excellent.
This deserves to be bottled!
Cheers
