12.7 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a Jackie O's snifter
2017
This beer pours a brilliant amber color with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with a fleeting head that leaves no trace once it is gone.
The smell is raspberry and funky.
It starts out with tart raspberry. There is funk and dank basement in the finish.
Dry mouthfeel. Light bodied
This beer is great. It is sweet, sour, and funky.

16.9 oz bottle poured into a nonic pint glass.
A: Small fizzy white head that settles to a light film. Body is a pink reddish amber hue with excellent clarity.
S: Lots of raspberry, light vinegar, apple skin, a little wheat the beer smells tart.
T: Lots of layered wheat light crackery malts and then some raspberry with a good bite but not as sour as I was expecting. Finish fairly dry and tart.
M: Fairly Dry tart lingering sour on the tongue.
O: This is not as good as their regular Berliner but it is quite tasty. The raspberries pop more in the nose than in the flavor.

Pours light pink but fills to mostly clear pastel red with a moderate, fizzy loud head that quickly dies to a faint film and thin collar.
Smell is toasty seeds and raspberry. It has a sharply sour smell and seems almost salty and lemony, but it's also really clean with green apple and little to no funk.
Extremely tart in flavor at first, puckering even, but acclimating is fairly easy and it's quite a tasty sour. Tart, fresh-squeezed lemon and lime juice elements are paired with fresh, bright zippy raspberry. Again it's really clean and tart with no real funk.
Crisp and fizzy with an exceedingly dry finish.
Whereas people like JWB are doing fruited Berliners that taste more like (really tasty) fruit juice than sour beer, this tastes more like a (very) sour beer with quite a lot of fruit it in.

A 2017 16.9oz bottle
It is a mostly clear, strawberry blush wine color with a rapidly receding fizzy dirty white head.
It smells like sour berries and lactic acid with a subtle amount of grain.
A very tart, raspberry and sour strawberry flavor dominates, with some significant acidity and yeast. It finishes with some wheat grains.
My biggest criticism would be the drinkability. While the body is good overall, it is a little too biting with the wild yeast, acidity, and drying tartness.
The fruit is a very nice compliment and this is a very good beer

On tap at JO's
Pours a deep ruby pink color with a small foamy white head that has good retention. Smells of Gary raspberry, toasted wheat, a bit of lactic tartness. Tastes of tart raspberry mixed with toasted wheat, some strawberry notes as well. The finish is dry and tart with a linger of raspberry and wheat. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish. Super drinkable with just enough fruit.
