Beautiful lemon-yellow brew, barely translucent through the haze. Head production and retention are solid.

Rustic, funky nose: honey, lemon, Brett, oak, and vanilla.

Flavor follows: it's a Brett-forward, funky farmhouse ale. Light notes of lemon, honey, and very light vinegar, contrasted against rather funky, rustic Brett notes of leather, earth, and must.

Very lively and exceptionally drinkable.

2018 vintage 500 ml bottle. Sampled on April 24, 2019.

The appearance is mostly a clear looking yellow-olive tone with a quickly erupting then fading white fizzy head.

A whole lot of aroma characters include toasted bread crust, biscuit, lemon grass, wild yeast, feint berry, and a citrus zest.

The mouthfeel is light and effervescent but smooth and chewy.

The taste is tart but not as pucker-up as some in this style. A toasted breadiness leading to a dry finale. It fits the style well.

Appearance: Pours cloudy and goldenstraw colored with a one finger head that fritters away while leaving a few strands

Smell: Bretty and funky with lemon and crusty bread tones

Taste: Tart and acetic, up front, with the lemon and leathery funk building; oaky and dry finish with lingering tartness

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: Rather a cross between and saison and a lambic; quite an interesting beer

Thanks, Stefko, for the opportunity

Pours a bright, effervescent gold with a pinky of fast-falling beige colored head. Minimal head retention & lacing

S: Ripe pears, white grapes

T: Dryness, mostly oak, a little golden raisin up front, just al little white pepper & lemon as well. More oaky dryness, a little white grape, but no real sweetness to balance out the slight acidity that shows as this warms, maybe a little green apple

MF: Medium body, delicate, crisp carbonation

Fairly refreshing but was lacking enough flavor to really suck me in. If your are into dry white wines or ciders, this might be your jam, not really mine

12.7 ounce bottle, 2017 vintage. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a slightly hazy pale gold color with about an inch white head that stuck around for a long time. There's also a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like lemon, straw, and some funkiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some lime, grainy malt and earthiness. Nice amount of tartness in this! Mouthfeel/body is light, it's refreshing and easy to drink with a good amount of soft carbonation. Really enjoyed this, definitely worth picking up! $10.99 a bottle.

A: The beer is clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that quickly settled down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass and a thin film of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of funk, oak, and sourness are present in the nose.
T: The taste starts off with sour flavors of vinegar and funk and finishes with notes of oak from the foeder aging.
M: It feels light-bodied and tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The light body and tart nature of this beer lend refreshing qualities and also make it very easy to drink.

Body is a beautiful uniformly cloudy straw yellow color. Pours with a nice soapy 1-2 finger white head.

Nose is very funky and a tad sour. Notes of lemongrass and freshly baked bread,
Sour lemon upfront with a mild barnyard funk and bready yeast backbone. Finish is sour and funky with a lingering funk bitterness.

Mouthfeel has medium carbonation and a rather dry body.

Overall a good beer that to me has more wild ale than saison on character. Another great beer from Jackie Os but ideally this would be smoother, breadier, and less dry.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle dated 2018 into the test glass.
A - Clear day afternoon sunlight colored, Nothing hides in this clear backdrop, gently carbonated, determined parade of spheres is almost hypnotizing. With a splash added you can coax out a quick to dissipate white froth.
S - Green grape skin, lemongrass, some light oak notes, lactic, some summer grains. very delicate in each aspect.
T - Lemon drops, citrus, musty rime, chardonnay on oak, lime, sweet light grains.
M - Delicate on the palate, very dry start, semi sweet, then quickly tart, with a bit of ash in the finish. wonderful feel. tis cries for rich cheese, and duck.
O - A very nice offering from Brad and Art's team. fouder touch is gently applied, grain bill is so delicate, hops are present but back seated to the mixed cultures. outstanding balance, well done.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

Bit of a minor gush upon opening, but fills with little head creation and a very clear body. Head manages a fleeting bright white of barely a finger, but settles very strong to a solid half finger puck. Good middle column of roaring bubbles, with a very pale straw lemon body color. Slightly hazy yet clear, very nice and kind of different looking than your average saison.

Very clean and brett sensing on the nose. Chewy bit of a malt quality, but more of a simple but excellent brett funk. Doesn't divulge much into fruity ester so much, but sticks to a good solid thick basic aroma.

Palate comes with much more to enjoy. Lemon and lime qualities in the mid palate, with less of a zest and more of an almost cidery flavor. Light bodied but supportive, and an excellent sharp wonderful mint aroma on the finish, that lingers like a chewed leaf. Crisp almost champagne like qualities, but with more malt richness to stay away from a wet mouthfeel. Not much hint of wood character, or rounded mouthfeel unfortunately.

Very solid saison from these guys all things considered.

500 mL bottle. Lightly hazy bright golden body. Smells of oak, soft sourdough yeast, and some lemon acidity. Tastes of lemon, grain, soft doughy bread. Has a little of that sourdough flavor too. Lightly tart. Sharp and oaky finish. Medium body. Well carbonated. Very pleasant.

500mL bottle, 2018 edition poured into a tulip
A: Light yellow with a one-finger fizzy head that quickly settles
S: Lemon, sour grape, yeast, a bit of light malt
T: Matches the nose, the malt turns into sourdough
M: Light-bodied, crisp and a light sourness
O: Not super sour/complex/oaky but has just enough of each that it makes for a light/crisp yet nuanced beer
