I got the Razz Wheat on-tap at O'Hooley's on a Thursday night.

Appearance: amber-copper color with a thin off-white 3/4" head off the tap
Smell: raspberry is the most prominent smell
Taste: the first taste that hits you is sweet raspberries, but then the aftertaste leaves you with a nice bitterness; im not sure if this bitterness is hops or not, but it gives the beer a real nice taste
Mouthfeel: medium to light bodied; great body for a fruit beer; most fruit beers are very thin, but O'Hooley's isn't afraid to add a little extra and make this a real beer
Drinkability: you will finish one of these real fast and begin wanting another

This is a great fruit beer. It's really just a luck of the draw picking up one of these at O'Hooley's since they constantly are changing and adding new brews. Nonetheless, definitely try it.

Crisp and refreshing, well-executed wheat ale with natural berry undertones. Nothing too sweet or artificial. This isn't one to write home about, but I'd never turn one down, especially on a hot day.

I guess this has been around a while, but it is new to me. Although I'm pretty sure it hasn't been, this can tastes like it has been around for a while. Too long.

This beer pours light brown with almost no head. The fizz, what little there is, looks a bit like soda pop. No head lingers. The aroma is slightly fruity and nutty (!) and otherwise clean.

The taste is disappointingly dull. Easy drinking with nothing standing out. There is a hint of bitterness, a hint of fruit taste, and a bit of tart. Nice bits, but it does not work for me. I wanted more.

The mouthfeel is pretty nice. It sits there tart and interesting. Too bad the first taste is not as good.

There have been a couple Jackie O's that have disappointed, and many more that were great. I plan on doing a pilgrimage some time soon. I haven't been back to my college town since the late 90's.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Nonic. Interesting pinkish copper color with a nice sized head. Smelled of grain and berries. Taste has a pleasant pucker quality while still quenching the thirst on a warm summer day. Had this with brats, potato salad and cole slaw and it complimented the meal very well.

hazy pinkish amber with a nice one inch head that faded to leave a ring around the putside of the glass. No real glass lace. Very nice hazy appearence, lots of carbonation was visible steaming up from the bottom, looked pretty decent.

Aroma was light, nothing really jumping out at you, but once it settled in was actually fairly decent. Lots of yeasty and grain like aroma, however there was a definate fruitiness to it. Something sweet lingering in the back that you just could not place. Very intresting, it was like a Hefe mixed with fruit, Actually very good. Nice grain flavors making up the bulk of it, however the berries was very evident, not somethign you had to go searching for. Left a nice finish as well. Very sweet finish. Very crisp, smooth, with lots of carbonation. Really let the flavors pop off

I am not a big fine of wheat beers or fruity beers
but this one maybe the exception that gets me started
No wonder it is one of the best selling beer at Ohio University

I got to taste this several times and at a tasting at Jackie O and the brew introduced by telling us he used real rasberries and lots of them

I will attest to that The rasberry flavors comes through and gives the beer an exceptional taste
very little bitterness
very drinkable
I can see why a campus finds this very popular
I wish I could have it stocked in my fridge for hot days cause this is the type of beer you could sip cold or lie and at a beach and drink all day

long after the beer was gone I tasted resaberry

A- Pours a hazy reddish, golden color with a thin white head. Maybe even a more light reddish purple color. Head turns into a layer of bubbles and leaves some spotty lacing here and there.

S- Smells of raspberries and a bit of grains. Mainly raspberries and not really much else.

T- Taste is of raspberries, which pretty much dominate this brew. After the raspberries there is a bit of grains and wheat.

M- Lighter in body and fairly low in carbonation.

D- Nothing special really here. I'm not a fan of fruitier beers and this falls into that category. Just doesn't really have the beer taste that I'm looking for.

The color is sort of a cloudy copper, thick orange with an orange-red hue in the depths. A white head is small but sturdy, holding the creamy cap well and leaving a mix of spotting and patching as it descends.
The smell is wheat first and raspberry second, in very specific order but both very much there. It's got a dry, crackery element, and I almost wonder if it's cracked wheat, and some earthiness follows through.
The taste switches it up, with the raspberry first on the tongue and the strong wheat foundation showing after it pops out. It's light but fresh, a little jammy, with just a light floral bitterness into the finish.
The feel is light, somewhat dry, and firmly crisp with a bit of an herbal note.

12 oz can in Dublin Ohio.
Orange Amber color with a hint of red and a decent head.
Pronounced and appealing raspberry aroma with some pancakes in the background.
Much more wheat and other grain flavor upon tasting. The raspberry is still obvious but in good balance.

O: excellent for style.
