Hazy, light yellow body topped off with a very thick, sudsy, white head. Pleasant wild and sour aroma; lemon and fresh cut green grass. Light astringent flavor; a bit tart; citrus pith but not much pure citrus flavor. Medium body; sharp, dry and tart.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this is more of a wild/farmhouse beer with little lager-like qualities. Their is not much fruit qualities either. Basically, the beer is a dry, somewhat funky wild beer without much depth or distinguishing character.

500mL bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Hazy light brown. Tons and tons of head make it a slow, tough pour
S: Tons of Brett, some wheat & citrus
O: Almost overwhelming with the Brett
M: Light-bodied, funky
O: The label doesn’t mention funk, only fruit, none of which comes through. I agree more saison-like than lager; either way only okay

Hazy pale yellow with a massively overactive foam that collapses quickly with huge pockets of air to a thin bubbly film and thick collar. Swirls of gray sediment muddle the bottom of the glass.

This smell like a freshly rained-on pasture...and not in a romantic way. We're talking muddy manure and rotting straw.

Taste also brings manure, while the salt, blood orange and grapefruit puree don't really surface at all. Instead, straw, barnyard funk, stinky cheese, and a hint of belgian phenol take hold. There's a grassy bitterness and maybe a bit of peppery grapefruit pith, but it's nearly entirely funk. This isn't normally a point of complaint for me, but when certain aspects are advertised to be in a beer, it is a bait and switch. There may be occasional hints of rotting strawberry, though.

The body starts light and crisp, but explodes to a massively airy and pillowy froth before dying to a crunchy dry finish.

Jackie O's usually makes more acidic beers with fruit-like expressions, and tends to stay away from stuff this funky. With American Solera being involved, it's almost like they're doing a collab to blunt the criticism of stepping into the realm of full funk. That said, this is a commendable effort, but I think the brett takes over too much, and the base beer is too delicate to provide any added complexity. Having such a light but potently funky beer is just odd.

Pours a chill-hazed but almost clear pale yellow with a blast of white froth that fills to the rim quickly. Aroma of straw, light fruits (passion fruit, orange, lemon and zest, and green apple). Super-light in body with plenty more light fruits a hint of grain and finishes with a surprising farmhouse tartness. As a matter of fact, this could almost pass as a Saison. Either way, I'm enjoying it.
