Lightly foggy gold with a soft white head settling to a thick creamy collar.
This has a surprising amount of toasted bread while also being fairly lactic in its tart acidity. While quite cheesy, it also has accents of toasted sesame and semi-bitter grape skin tannins.
The medium body has a firm yet fine carbonation and finishes cleanly semi-dry with a little herbal bitterness on the exhale.

I'll start off right away by saying this blew my expectations away. Yes oak, honey, wine, and grape led, but how they did was impactful. Oak was rich and expressive. Wine is light in booze but high in vinous character. Honey is a good brightener but not too on the sweetener. Grape brings out wildflowers, lighthearted funk, the yeast. More sessionable than other portrayals of the honey saison, but very springy, active and bright feeling, and more sour. I would put it in american wild ale for style, as brewer suggests. The smell is more basic, wine, oak and wild honey, all lighter and drier than the taste. Beautiful pour, clear gold, decent carbonation, and a picture perfect white head.
