L:dark amber, pencil thick head, quick dissipation, thick bubbles, looks more like a coke than a beer.
S:roasted malts, nuts, honey, ( lime from somewhere i have no idea)
F: light weight, very bubbly, dry afterfeel.
T: roasted malts, citrus/lime??coffee, nutty.
O: not a fan of this beer. the taste reminds me of a coffee apple juice mixture with a coke look and feel.

On tap at brewery:
Pours a dark brown, sitting next to the stout we ordered, you can barely tell the difference. On a lower volume, the brown hue is more evident. Medium thick creamy tan head provides a little lacing.

The nose is weaker than I'd like, but the roasted malt and oily nut do come through - I just need to try harder than I'd like to get them. Warmth helps a bit.

Taste is back on the right track. Dark grain toast actually has a little char to it, bringing a bit of bitterness. The nut actually is subtle compared to the classic brown ale malt/bitterness that appears in the middle. At this point, it's also a bit light. It's an interesting bold, light, bold feel/depth of flavor.

The fact that the fairly bold nut brown gains the end after showing the base style grabbed my attention. A bold brown ale that is almost like a toasty version of a porter (per my standards).

a brown ale with honey thats extremely light for the style, and feels almost conservative for these guys, who i associate with daring and robust beers that are almost unrivaled in their originality. this brown is tasty for sure, but could have been made by almost anyone i think. its got a clear very light brown color to it, and a pleasing aroma of light toasted chocolate malt, sweet floral honey, and light dusty cereal grain, quite simple really. i like the honey in this, in so many beers its all fermented out, or its covered up by malt, fruit, or wild yeast or something. its cool in this beer because there isnt a whole lot going on, so the aroma and flavor of the honey can stand out a little bit, and not have to make this too sweet to be noticed. its super light on the grain side of things, no roast at all, and little more than a very light cocoa note, hardly even a brown ale. delicate body, relaxed carbonation from the tap, and a great not hop driven session beer, which the scene seems to be getting away from these days. this didnt wow me like most of the others these guys make, but its a nice easy drinking brown for this time of year. i hope this is a sign that more of their beer is on the way to colorado!

Can poured into pint glass. Dark caramel color, modest carbonation leading to a nice brown, one finger head. Subtle coffee, roasted malts and hops to nose. Medium feel on palate with nice balance of coffee, malts, chocolate against subtle toffee and honey. A very enjoyable beer

On draft at the Westin hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. Go Cubs!

Dark brown body with hints of crimson. Plum and roast character throughout. Lightly sweet and quite drinkable. Nicely done.

12 oz can poured into a clear dixie cup.

A: Body is nice light caramel, brown, with decent clarity for the color of the body. Head is soap, chunky, and just slightly off white.

S: Roasted malts, honey, ground nuts, sweet grainy smell.

T: Lots of nuttiness, toffee, seet bread malts, and honey.

M: Light to medium mouth if not just a touch watery.

O: Really good beer here. Nothing crazy but the layered toffee over the honey is quite delicious and easy to drink.

Pours a rich mahogany with a tan head.

Smells of dark fruit, rich malt, bread, honey, and nuts.

A little spicy nutty hops up front moving forward to sweet malt middle with honey and oats. Finishes dry and rich like a good desert with notes of chocolate and oak. A very solid brown ale.
