I mean this in a good way - bet this one is kind of like a lemonade beer. It’s like I hit little Timmy’s booth on the corner, and then went to Jim Bob’s for some “shine” and I mixed the two. Boom. Juicy alcohol goodness. Now who don’t want some of dat?

Peace.

12oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a slightly hazy yellow with a one-finger foamy white head that has great retention

S- citrusy hops up front with notes of tangerine, lemon peel, grapefruit zest and a bit of grass

T- orange marmalade up front, followed by grapefruit zest with a hint of pine and grass on the finish, malty linger

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and crisp finish

O- easy drinking and enjoyable but doesn't scream NE style to me

12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours hazy and yellow. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves spotty lacing.

I get wafts of citrus and tropical fruit with hints of melon.

It has a "stale" taste. I don't know how else to describe it. I got it on draft too. I get some citrus flavor. There seems to be a bit of a malt sweetness. Overall, just an odd flavor combo.

Medium bodied with slightly chalky mouthfeel

I have not liked Jackie O's attempts at this style. I think I will stick to there barrel aged beers.

I got a 6pck of this beer from my local Meijer store. It poured a cloudy yellow with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had fresh fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer!

L: Straw golden yellow, very hazy. Traditional pale malt.

S: Papaya/pineapple hops. Great on the nose.

T: Nice on the palate. Fresh and juicy. Fruity tasting hops but without actual fruit.

F: Dank. Oily. Resiny. A bit of pine. Very bitter aftertaste. The finish could use improvement.

O: It tastes very nice. The finish seems to catch me by surprise every time. A pleasant brew in general.

Most examples of this style are good, and most are similar to one another. This one is a cut above in every category.

It pours much paler and thinner looking - not as yellow of fake cloudy as most. The aroma is strong hops funk, like most New England IPA's, but stronger. The taste is a nice hoppy funky, with no bite. The burp is nice and special too. It's just slightly better than others. It just seems like this is a style that should be easy to brew. They always come out good. In the hands of experts at Jackie O's, the style really shines.

Highly recommended. This sample is 10 days old (7-15-2020). I have a bunch too!

I got a nice two week old sample of this. It tastes a little drier than I recall. Still exceptional.

This take on the New England from Jackie O’s features a rather high IBU for the style that really shows in the finish. The beer pours a dense one vibrant warm yellow. The scent is fresh cut melon and grapefruit. Upon the tongue, the initial profile is sharp citrus with hints of melon. The feel is almost pulpy and crescendos into a sharp note of orange soda. Solid beer.

Canned on 7/9/20. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy and cloudy yellowish golden; creamy white head that falls slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky frothy lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of citrus and tropical fruit, although it's probably more on the citrus side. Some crackers and fresh bread. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. Some pineapple and orange leading the way. Some fresh grass. Mild sweetness. Moderate to low bitterness. Malts do their thing without dominating. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a really nice "New England IPA". The flavors are very clean, crisp and refreshing, which takes this one to the next level. The clean dryness while ultimately remaining juicy makes this one very enjoyable. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done. I really like it.
