One of the top 5 pilsners I’ve had ever. Crisp and dry at the right levels.

Lightly foggy pale yellow with a moderately tall white lumpy foam settling unevenly to leave spongy chunks on the glass.
The medium-light yet frothy body has a soft crispness that comes to a semi-dry finish with a tingly warmth from the hops, providing a balanced bitterness to a dash of toasted corn malt.
Those lightly herbal hops also contain a bit of a mix between rind and pine, but neither. This cleanly subtle bitterness makes for an exceptionally crushable pils.

GLBC tulip. Can dated 3/25/21.
A: pours a slightly hazed pale yellow with one finger of bright white head that lasts. Rings of lacing on the opposite side of the glass.
S: crisp Pilsner malt, and a very light, lemony lager yeast. There is a smell here that I associate with water; a clean freshness. The floral note grows stronger as I drink it down; like it was dry hopped with a more modern variety of European hops.
T: arrives ever so slightly sweet, crisp and crackery, with a decidedly lemony, floral, hoppy presence. Runny honey and fresh grain.
M: super light, crisp, attenuated. Moderate carbonation, small bubbles.
O: this is a superb lager. I hardly do reviews anymore, but this was so good I was compelled to. The only drawback is that, like many beers heavily hopped with more modern hops, it doesn’t pair super well with food, which is pretty essential for a lager. But for a stand up summer crusher in the sunshine, this is tops. Fifth one of the six pack, and still looking forward to the sixth. Can’t say that often these days.
