Notes:
Close But Far’s bright and boisterous hop character pairs perfectly with the warm evenings of early summer. Bright citrus and honeydew tones from carefully selected Citra, Centennial, and Simcoe are bolstered by berry and spruce tones from native North American Zappa hops. Ohio grown and malted oats lend a dry but fluffy mouthfeel to this prickly Hazy IPA.

6-pack from Jungle Jim's
Cloudy straw color with a yellow hue. Massive white head with good retention.
Fruity, lemon aroma.
Taste follows the nose with a bold hop presence but a restraint bitter finish.
Light body with moderate carbonation. very drinkable.

12oz can, served in a tulip glass. Canned on 05/10/21, 14:05.
Appearance: Cloudy/translucent golden yellow. Big thick white head with fine islands and strands of persistent laicing.
Smell: Fresh cut tropical fruit, lemon, flowery. Lots of things going on.
Taste: Hoppy, orange, citrus, bready malt, fresh-squeezed orange juice-like citrus finish.
Mouthfeel: Soft, chewy, light carbonation, a bit sticky on the teeth.
Overall / Drinkability: Tasty and enjoyable. Not sure what type of food to pair this with, but I feel like it needs something as by the end of the glass I felt like I was done, but would have had more if there was something else to have with it...
Anyway, well crafted and definitely hazy and juicy.

I got a 6pck of this beer from my local Meijer store. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had wonderful tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is another SOLID offering from Jackie Os!

12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a becker glass
This beer pours yellow and hazy. It is topped with several inches of off white head that leaves spotty lacing.
It has a lemon aroma. I also get some melon. Other citrus aromas come out as it warms a bit.
The taste is citrus. Lemon and grapefruit are the main components. There is grapefruit pith in the finish. Mild bitterness that lingers.
Medium bodied with a slightly chalky mouthfeel
Solid hazy. That's about what I expect from Jackie O's. None of their hazies have been great. Their barrel aged shit is still killer though.

Pours hazy yellow orange with a fluffy white head.
Aroma is what you would expect from a hazy. Tropical fruit and citrus.
Very similar to other Jackie O’s hazy ipas. Solid example of the style but not super exciting either.
This beer tastes very good and I would buy pretty much any beer from this brewery at this point.

Some pine to it, but not overpowering. It’s surprisingly refreshing for being rather dry. Easy to drink. Recommend!

It isn't surprising that many brewers have put out more than one New England style AIPA. The style lends itself well to experimentation and it usually comes out great. Unless you are Jackie O's, then they always come out great.
This one is hazy and foamy with a pretty stench, a mild for the style taste and especially mouth feel (easy and creamy). A winner again.
Recommended. I don't know what the availability of these is, but I got a few super fresh and they are amazing.

Lovely Lacey appearance.... Pretty good nose.... Thin and citrusy... Would make for a nice summer sipper.... This is a good Brewer and this is a good example of what they do.

Look - spot on hazy yellow slight copper with a nice lasting white head and sticky lacing
Smell - Floral but with a nice citrus tropical scent
Taste - almost session like, lemon and spruce with a slight biscuit backbone
Feel - medium dry body with a lighter carb
Overall - Not my Jam, it's ok but my least favorite of theirs so far.

Canned on 4/30/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy pale yellow; fluffy eggshell white head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of citrus, tropical and floral notes. The citrus notes are probably more prominent. Some crackers and fresh bread. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. Some lemon and grapefruit leading the way along with some orange peel. Hints of pineapple and coconut. Some fresh grass and floral notes in the mix. Decent hop flavors. Moderate to low bitterness. Soft sweetness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely fluffy, smooth, slightly creamy and slightly sharp.
This is a solid New England IPA. It's nice, but nothing too crazy. It's simply enjoyable and has everything that you'd expect from the style. Not bad.
