2021 vintage; consumed on 2/21/22
Pours a dense, motor-oil black body topped with a finger of fluffy, rich, khaki-hued foam; decent head retention yields virtually no cap, a thin, frothy collar, and no lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aromas of toasted Brazil nuts guide into the subtle sweetness of Cocoa Krispies and chocolate-dusted macadamias, while shreds of vanilla and caramel linger into nougat toward the back end via a soft bourbon undertone, ultimately peaking with waves of plummy esters closing.
Taste opens to bittersweet dark chocolate as delicate threads of bourbon and oak are steadily interwoven with richer milk chocolate into the mid-palate; refined, nutty textures weave into touches of vanilla and smoky toffee on the back end as plum envelopes the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a medium body with a carbonation on the lower end of moderate, dispersing a creamy texture trending silky and remaining tightly-composed over mid-palate; a mildly warming sensation over the back end cuts a sticky trend before drying into the finish.
A mild blend texturing a wispy representation of individual threads intertwining quiet roast, level bourbon, and nutty richness; a profile entertaining with subtle nuance and an understated sweetness.

Thanks to a prince among men, fiver29, for this 375ML bottle amongst yet another silly great box. I will have my revenge.
The pour is very dark & flat, mirroring the lack of whisper when the cap is popped. The nose is sweetness, bourbon, & plenty of the alcohol.
Born On A Stump is many of the good things. Big bourbon hit up front with primary follow-up of chocolate, wood, & booziness. Smaller quantities of caramel, molasses, & an almost port-like echo scatter through the taste. Mouthfeel is lighter than a big stout, assumedly from the addition of barleywinkles to the blend. Bottle far too small.
Jackie O’s strikes again. There are complexities beneath the surface my coarse, sixth grade words cannot express. Excellent beer. I’d expect no less.
