On tap at the One Funky Afternoon release.
Pour yields a light orange-apricot color with a good white head that lasts around for a long while before slowly fading down to a nice cap. Great lacing on the edges of the glass. The nose brings forward some light hopping with some citrus and floral notes. A bit of the south paw in the background. Pretty nice, but not nearly as good as the funky version in the nose. The taste is about the same--the south paw is there, but just not quite to the level that it is in the funky version. Maybe I'm biased having had the modified version first. Still, it's really nice and quite drinkable. A mellow pale ale with a hint of fruit. A bit of nice dryness in the finish. A solid, quaffable brew.

A Pale Ale conditioned on 120 lbs. of paw paw - a fruit indigenous to Southern OH.
Served at Jackie O's in Athens, OH
A. Slightly hazy pale straw with a thin white film that leaves plenty of residual lacing.
S. Smells like a fresh spring field with flowers and honey and clover.
T. Lots of honey and floral flavors with a crisp bitterness.
M. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
D. I would love to drink this all night. I almost cried when they told me they didn't do growler fills of the paw paw beers. Get to Athens and have some of this delicious brew!
