On tap at Jackie O’s. Served in a sampler glass, and followed up with a few pints out of the growler we took back to the campground. Pours a clear golden color with a fluffy white head and plenty of lacing. The nose carries hints of pepper alongside fresh zest and a bit of an herbal character. Lemon is nice, and leads the way into a very crisp and clean body. Smooth bitterness and dry herbal character. Super refreshing and easy to drink. The whole growler was gone before we knew it.

Served on tap into a shaker glass at Jackie O's

A- Poured a hazy bright golden color with a soapy head that left no lace

S- Aroma of bubblegum, belgian yeast, apple, and lemon notes

T- Pretty strong bubblegum and belgian yeast notes, apple and lemon, flavors. Some slight tartness

M- Highly carbonated, finished very dry, champagne like

O- A highly drinkable beer that was refreshing. Reminded me of saison and a wheat beer.

500mL (?) growler sent by Urbancaver. Thanks dude! Poured in to a generic crate & barrel tulip.

A: Straw/yellow in color, hardly any carbonation during the pour. Settles with just a thin line of carbonation around the rim of the glass. Some lacing, but very light.

S: Grainy and citrus notes. Smells wonderful. Maybe even a little tartness.

T: Light malts with very little hop character. Tastes a little like tin (?). After picking around other beers in this style, I have determined that somehow I've never had another beer of this style, making it slightly hard to review.

M: Light bodied, light carbonation.

O: A very refreshing brew that probably should have been enjoyed on a hot summer day. Either way, this is very nice.

Big thanks goes out to mikesgroove for sharing this one with me during the Halloween festivities at his house! Thanks buddy! Served from growler into a Bell's stemmed tulip. Poured a slightly hazy pale yellow with a half finger pure white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, wheat, spices, tart, slight funk, and fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, wheat, funk, and slight tart. It had a very light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. The funky aspect I picked up on in this style really surprised me quite a bit as did the tart. However, it really seemed to work quite well in this brew. The mouthfeel was surprisingly thin as well, but the carbonation level helped to make it enjoyable despite this fact.

golden in color with a medium level of haze and cloudiness to it that obscured a bit of the sunlight poking through. Nice head of white capped the top and settled down smoothly and evenly,

Aroma was light, but nice and complex with light hops, Light notes of peach and light grain really come through right now. Warming brought a smidge of citrus to it, and really let the light fruit notes pop,. Crisp, clean flavor though with light hints of clove and heather that sat on top of a base that resembled mostly light fruits and hints of grain. Smooth, light body was not overly carbonated

Thanks brad, this is an interesting one

Pours a hazy light yellow. Nice amount of white head. Looks pretty solid. Smells lemony and light. Nce fumkiness with lots of fruit. Pretty weak mouthfeel, it's a bit watery. I'm enjoying the flavour and aroma quite a bit but the mouthfeel is a bit weak. Overall solid. Enjoyable. But lacking in mouthfeel.

Appearance: Arrives with a clear golden color and a modest head that laces the glass nicely

Smell: Herbaciously fruity, with a lemony aspect, too

Taste: Herbal verbena and lemon zest, up front, with a growing yeasty complexity; the elements come together nicely after the swallow, in a way that emphasizes the light but flavorful elements

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Drinkability: No way would I characterize this as an American Blonde; there are a lot of Belgian elements to this beer and I would think of it as a lighter Saison

On tap in a Pint glass at Bodega on 8/13/10

Pale, watered down golden color with hay highlights. Slight haziness. Poured a thin skim. Minimal retention with so-so lacing.

Crisp, light & grassy aroma. Earthy hop hints. Lots of lemon notes. Lemon zest with an overall notion of lemongrass.

Very even-keeled flavor. Modest hop twinge upfront with lemon notes throughout. Lightly toasted malts & a pervassive grassiness. A faint touch of sweetness as an offset.

Light bodied despite a grainy feel. Carbonation is moderately low. Residual hops & lemongrass linger.

Nothing too fancy but this is a pretty well-crafted & structured beer. Definitely fitting as a summer brew.
