I love rye beers, this one is on the mild side of spicy. I do enjoy the extra hoppy IPA aspect. I admit I still don't enjoy drinking beer out of a can, but this pours into a glass just as well as a bottle. I really enjoyed it with chicken and jalapeno pizza.

I brought this to the beach house my Bestie rented on Hilton head island. It poured a clear yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel and pine. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink excellent citrus spice with pine. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a solid beer and maybe the best from Jackie O.

Classic optics - golden straw color, carbonation and quarter inch of head. Soft aroma but pleasant - some floral hops and spice from the rye. Just faint. Lots of grassy hops on this one, pretty delicate flavor but I was really looking for more from the rye. It is there and adds some of that classic spice but it just seems disconnected from the beer. Nothing is married particularly well. It is hops upfront, a little rye then boom done. Body was also a little light in my opinion.

The rye in this beer smooths out the back end. A great 1/2 Rye 1/2 Barley IPA!
