Classic optics - golden straw color, carbonation and quarter inch of head. Soft aroma but pleasant - some floral hops and spice from the rye. Just faint. Lots of grassy hops on this one, pretty delicate flavor but I was really looking for more from the rye. It is there and adds some of that classic spice but it just seems disconnected from the beer. Nothing is married particularly well. It is hops upfront, a little rye then boom done. Body was also a little light in my opinion.

The rye in this beer smooths out the back end. A great 1/2 Rye 1/2 Barley IPA!

Pale yellow body; thin yet lasting head. Lemony, almost grassy nose; citrus spiciness. Spicy and earthy flavor; mild cereal backbone; hints of citrus sourness. Heavy body; coarse and dry on the palate.

A well-rounded beer delivering great sensory experiences. I assumerye was used (based on the name and spicy quality). Complex yet balanced and approachable.

Enjoyed on tap at the Old Bag of Nails in Mansfield, Ohio.

Poured 12oz can to pint glass. Hazy yellow color with one finger head that held nicely. Pungent hoppy smell with rye shining through. Bitter on the front of palate was not to my liking. Medium feel as the rye lingers.
