On draft 12/21/11 at Jackie O's
A poured a dark chocolate color with a finger and a half dark khaki head. Some dark reddish brown around the edges when acceptable light was available. Long lasting head with some lacing
S spices with notes of chocolate in the background. Some caramelly sweetness notes too
T the squash is very apparent, I dont know I've ever had a beer with such a pronounced squash flavor. some spices noticeable as well. Chocolate notes and some caramel sweetness on the back end.
M somewhat thin for a bigger beer. I would have enjoyed it a little more if it had a bit more body
D somewhat low. The richness and spiceyness would prevent me from having more than 2 in one sitting
Overall, an interesting, unique take on a pumpkin/fall beer. I would order this again as the days get shorter, for sure.

I had this on nitro-tap at Jackie O's during the release event. Served in a sample glass.
Appearance: Pours an opaque brown with some red at the edge when the light hits it. There is a half finger of creamy tan foam with great lacing and retention.
Smell: Spices are strong up front. I'm picking up some nutmeg. Mild roast with some pumpkin/squash in there as well.
Taste: There is a mild chocolate flavor along with some pumpkin pie spices. The squash is a bit overshadowed by the spices. Some alcohol and sweet malt in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with very smooth carbonation and a finish that is a bit dry.
Overall: I would have liked the alcohol to be a bit milder in this one. The spices were a bit on the strong side, but I still enjoyed my pour.

Pours a hazy dark brown. Nice light white head. Looks pretty decent. Smells squash heavy and malty. Not a lot of aroma. Tastes sweet and squash heavy. A bit of sharp over carbonation. Te squash taste is very nice. I don't detect any chocolate really but the beer is solid and enjoyable.
