Appearance was cloudy, but could be because of the age of the beer (it appears to be over a year past the "best before" date). Good foam stability, displaying good lacing. Flavor is malty, with a light bitterness (again could be due to age & degradation of iso acids). Overall, good for a European golden lager.

Poured a 500-ml can into a large beer stein.

Appearance - nice bright gold colour with virtually no head. Thin bubbles on top and zero lacing.

Smell - not too many noticeable smells other than some corn and tin.

Taste - pretty clean taste with some hoppiness in the end. Not a lot of character with this one but refreshing.

Mouthfeel - like carbonated pop, this one is. I don't have a problem with it.

Drinkability - this is pretty decent to drink. Not much character but it takes care of my thirst!

Brown 25cl bottle (5.5%, not the 55 quoted on here). Poured into a vase shapped (Albainian Stela) glass. The beer was three days past its 'Best By Date'.

Clear, bright and golden, typical lager appearance, complete with a clean white foaming head.

No aroma what so ever. My standard lager/pilsner 3 score is granted.

There is a hint of hops and malt in the flavour, but like most lagers there is no great depth of taste or body. If this is their Premium beer, I wouldn't want to try their bog standard brew.

A burp beer, meaning gassy and crap.

ABV listed as 5.8%?, served from bottle > tulip

A 2.5 - 1 finger head, pale straw in color, no head retnetion, mediocre lacing

S 3.5 - more malty smell thna expected fore a Euro Lager, some hops notes in background

T 3.5 - malty taste evident on palate, spicy for a Euro Lager, clean crisp finish

MF 3.0 - light to medium in body, med + carbo

D 3.5 - rinkable for sure, for a Euro Lager selection, not skunky like some

Pour: A med to light yellow with a one finger head.
Nose: malty with hints of lemon
Taste: Carbonated, with malts hints of sweetness and lemon.
Body Light
Finish a bit acidic on end.
Overall I thought it was an okay beer. It was a bit surprising to me that is has some flavor.

Out of a bottle this beer was a crystal clear golden color with lots of visible rising carbonation. The head was billowing, pure white and left decent lacing off the skim but otherwise retained poorly. The aroma was standard Euro Pale Lager, corn mash, slightly musty malt and hints of yeast. The flavors were at first slightly sweet but the malt then got blended away into the slightly herbal hoppy flavors leaving no distinction between the two. Not balanced, just sort of mashed together. Nothing else was going on beyond that. The body was medium/light, the carbonation a little too high and the mouthfeel prickly and watery. Typical and unpleasant.

I tried this beer on May 12, 2008 after purchasing nfrom one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a transparent pale gold with a white bubbly head, and a lot of effervescence. The aroma is sickly grainy malt, with a touch of hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated. The flavour is very grassy with little else to please the tongue.

Oh,say, CAN you see? More from Can Land.

The can is clearly printed with the word "Lager", but they could have saved themselves the trouble. Just cracking the seal released a sweet smell that simply screamed "LAGER!" It produced a finger's worth of thick, bone-white head that sat atop the beer like a layer of marshmallow Fluf. The nose was very sweet and seemed to fill the room with its overpowering scent. The color was a slightly cloudy golden yellow and the mouthfeel was thin-to-medium. It was fairly sweet on the tongue, but I experienced a really unpleasant metallic flavor on the finish. I am finding with these Euro-lagers that the cheap ones are not much of a bargain. I had to restrain myself from making this a drain pour.

A: pours a clear, bright gold with a 1 finger white head that dissipates quickly to a thin film that leaves no lacing.

S: grassy hops and a a touch of sweetness - pretty weak, pretty average.

T: grassiness up front, with a subtle breadiness mid-sip. It has a dry finish and not too much sugary sweetness which, to me, is a very good thing. However, flavour dies off quickly - typical Euro-macro.

M: light and highly carbonated - goes down decently smooth.

D: pretty average Euro-macro. Easy to drink - would make a decent session beer in the summer time. Nothing to write home about though and I would only buy this one again because it is relatively cheap compared to the other widely-available Euro tall cans.

The second beer from their gift pack. I am not expecting much if my memories serves me well. Pours with a soapy white head, little retention and lacing. Has a clear pale yellow color.

Smells a bit metallic, a bit of corn and just to say they might have added some hops but I could be imagining them.

Tastes of light malts, dash of hops and a slight bitterness. Just a plain old everyday lager, and I don't like plain old everyday lagers.

The BC liqour stores are awash with euro lagers in tall cans. Stella and Urquell are $2.50 each but Tuborg is one of the few at $2. I will admit that this is a decent lager with good crisp finish and adequate hops. Good value at the price and better than Holsten or Faxe. Sometimes when you are dealing with a number of beers of the same style you have to look at value for the money

This one came out a clear golden yellow with a bubbly 1 finger white head that firms down to a thin collar and mild lacing.
The smell is a mild skunk but not in a bad way, very mild grass, fresh crispness to it and not much else,a little boring for the nose, was hopeing for a little more.
Not much flavor either,a tiny hint of maybe fruit,a mild tangy sweetness towards the end, not much there at all.
Medium mouthfeel, little carbs and goes down easy, kinda creamy feel to it.
Not much here for flavor and aroma but easy to down these especially ice cold....easy drinkable but not much else.

Bought a single tall can at the NSLC. Never had before.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, pale golden yellow. Very very light, but has a brilliant colour. Fizzy bone white head with not much retention.

Aroma: Light floral hops, some grass, plenty of corn, some alcohol.

Taste: Light biscuits, sweet, corn, nasty alcohol & spoiled vegetables in the finish. Apple juice like sourness.

Mouthfeel: Sharp and fizzy. Drinkability not very high.

Final Statement: This is pretty awful. Couldn't finish it.

500 ml can.

A- Gold colour, good bubbles. A few little particles floating in the beer. Basic white head that dissappears rapidly.

S- Ordinary pale malt and faint hops aroma. Weak.

T- Very light bland taste up front. Slight bitter hops finish that lacks any floral or herbal notes to make it interesting. Very faint fruit and vegetable flavours.

MF- Not horrible, but as thin and bland as you might expect. At least you know it's beer since it isn't quite as watery feeling as some.

D- basic bland macro beer. Nothing to really enjoy here. Not so bad I couldn,t get through it though. Why anybody pays premium import prices for this stuff is beyond me.

This was in a pack of "Beers of the World" purchased from BevMo.

A: Very pale, light watered-down yellow.
S: As the color would indicate...it has a very light hoppy smell.
T&M: Maybe this is an older batch, but this had that skunky quality that I abhor in brew or maybe I'm not use to the euro pale lager style. It's a bit too water-downed for my taste. Sorry.
D: I would not activley seek this out, but if given one at a shin-dig...I would hold my tongue and accept it.

Pours a one finger chunky white head over a crystal clear golden body. Head disappears but leaves decent lace. Light aromas of pilsner malt, cooked vegetables and not much else. Flavor has a faint honey-like malt flavor up front, a bi of sweetness and a decent hop bitterness playing backup. Not much hop flavor to speak of. Light to watery body. Crisp finish.

Fairly clean, but also fairly boring.

A: Clear dull, light golden color with nests of bubbles at the bottom of the glass. Head is about 1/8 high, barely off white.

S: Eggos, metallic twang and noble hops.

T: Begins with mild corn like sweetness with just a touch of breadiness. Some green grape, under ripe pear, honey and copper moments. Finishes with more copper and some grassy characteristics.

M: Light body with a decent mouthfeel. Carbo sting not as prevelent as some other beers of this style.

D: This beer is decent but nothing to write home about.

Tuborg Gold
11.2 oz bottle
Unknown bottling (batch no 20520618), crowned 11/06
Medium pour in an English pint.

Poured a clear straw yellow with a white mostly lasting frothy head with good lacing. Great constant stream of bubbles.

Smelt of strong corn and moderate herbs.

Taste was upfront strong sweet corn, followed by some moderate sweet corn and light grassy bitterness on a cream of corn finish. Mouthfeel was light bodied, watery, lively carbonated, with faint astringency.

Overall, this beer is all about corn, although a pretty good clean sweet corn taste, nice and tasty with no offputting flavors. I could drink this again when dehydrated.

Pours a clear golden hay/sumshine hue. A little bubbling but a little under my wants and needs for this style of beer. A little head and foam, but all eventually subside. The first few whiffs where pretty metallic. But they eventually evened out to something a little more familiar. The flavor was also very tinny on the first few sips. But as the beer gradually warmed, it was all right. Somewhat easy to drink, but not sessionable in my book.

11.2oz green bottle

Tuborg Gold was light golden in color with a decent head. The head was soon reduced to a ring aroud the glass leaving minimal lacing behind. There was a faint hop smell in the aroma, but not very good. It had a light malt flavor with just a touch of hops , not really much there. It was fairly light bodied with medium carbonation. Not a beer that I will likely purchase again.

Pours pale straw yellow with a fizzy white head. Looks crystal clear, but when near a light, I can see some sediment floating around. A decent amount of lace coats the glass.
Grassy aroma with a slight sweetness in the background.
Tastes pretty bad. Grainy, metallic, and harsh. It doesn't help that it's thin and watery.
Far from being an enjoyable beer to drink. I'll avoid this one from here on out.

Got a bottle of this as part of a 12 pack "Beers of the World" from World Market as a Christmas present from my cousins. I have had this bottle sitting around for 6 months before opening it. It is the last beer from that 12 pack that I have. I wonder if that 6 months changed this beer at all and if so how. Anyways it pours a light, clread golden color with a white head about 3/4 of an inch thick. Leaves some nice lacing in the glass too. Smell consisted of some aroma's of hops and malts. that's about it for the smell. This beer has a sweet malty taste with a touch of hops in there somewhere as well. Not much else tastewise eithe, but a bit of a dry aftertaste permeates the palate. A nice crisp, smooth, creamy mouthfeel with mild to moderate carbonation. A very decent lager overall, but nothing too special.

33 cl bottle at Kelly’s bar in Stockholm, Sweden. November 2005.

After a long night of nice beers I ended with a crappy one.
If one starts the day off with a Tuborg Guld I guess it’s allright, but ending it was a dissaster. Crappy thin malty horrible stuff.

Pale yellow look with a small white head.
Malty, grassy scents.
Malty taste, lacks hops in the taste.
Off balance bitterness.

Tasted old and bad.
