Bunk...if I could only leave my review at that I would. How the MJ group gets away with such mediocrity in a city that's full of great beer, I just don't get. The beer is bland and uninspiring, the tap lines were not well kept, the bottle selection was pathetic (bartender said they only stock Bud, Stella, Kokanne etc because they don't support the competition, and will not bring in other BC locals). I've been to the Yaletown location, and at least the service was good - not so much here. Definitely give this a pass, and spend your monies where it's deserved at a place that actually cares about beer (Alibi Room anyone?)

This is part of the Mark James Pub group and so has The Red Truck lager and Ale. They have a very nice Hefe and a decent Stout here as well. The pub side is cosy and nicely appointed with lots of wood. The restaurant side is airy and there is a patio outside. Foodwise this place lacks a bit from its Yaletown cousin but certainly still provides decent grub. The service was great as the bartender was very personable and fun to talk to. Since Steamworks is no longer a brewpub in West Van this is the only brewpub on the North Shore.
