Purchased at a cafe in Giverny, France. Served in the appropriate label snifter glass.

Clear amber color with a full head which filled the oversized glass. Nice lacing which lasted until the end. Very nice head retention.

Very typical aroma and fruity flavors appropriate for the style,

I felt this beer was very competitive with the Belgium beers for the style. I thoroughly enjoyed the beer and would definately have another. The only drawback was the price at the USD equivalent of almost $8, but any good Belgium strong in the states cost that much at a bar/restaurant.

I feel the previous reviewer must have experienced an out of date brew.

Cloudy red colour with a small, light tan head. Poor head retention.

Slightly earthy. Very fruity aroma. Straightforward and not that amazing.

Empty. There is no real malt, a little fruity yeast character but it is really thin and uninteresting.

Lacking in complex character for me. I don't really like what is going on.
