Few things accompany long winter nights as well as this Munich-style Dunkel Bock.
Savor our brewmaster’s enticing blend of dark roasted and sweet caramel malts. Capped by an oatmeal-colored head, the rich flavors of this Bavarian-style lager make it the perfect selection for long winter nights.
Randy's Notes: “Winter brew is a Munich style dunkel bock of much repute among those who know us best. It has won the World Beer Cup, Gold and Bronze medals.”
Degrees Plato (Initial Gravity): 14.5P
Weeks Aged: 8
Year First Brewed: 1986
Serving Temperature: 50°
Malts: Black Patent, Caramel, Chocolate, Pale
Hops: Cascade, Chinook, Mt. Hood, Tettnanger

A - Poured a brown with ruby highlights color with a thin tan head that doesn't leave lacing
S - Is of roasted malts first then some chocolate comes out
T - This beer tastes dirty like someone mopped it off the floor and bottled the beer theres roasted malt and some chocolate but the earthy dirt taste really stands out to me
M - This beer has a thin watery body and medium carbonation to it
D - I was pretty disappointed drinking this one I like most winter beers and I like bocks so I really wanted to like this beer but the dirty taste is too much for me but if you like dirty mop water give it a shot

A 12oz. bottle poured into a 20oz. weizen glass. This beer is a sexy cola color with hints of ruby when held up to the light. There is a very nice two finger head of thick fluffy tan foam. The foam receded slowly to about an eighth of an inch with nice heavy lacing left behind. The beer is very dark so it is hard to observe the carbonation.
The aroma is sweet and malty, true to the style.
The flavor starts with the dry coffee notes, similar to an oak flavor, then there are the sweet chocolate flavors, with a slight bitter finish.
This beer has a smooth creamy feel with the slight dry finish.
Very well done, I look forward to sampling these!

12oz bottle undated from AC. Chocolate color and slightly malty/caramel nose. Flavors include milk chocolate/caramel/coffee with the caramel sticking around on the finish. A smooth, flavorful winter sipper that is easy to drink.

When opening the bottle, there's a bit of froth which comes out. The head, however, is moderately sized and it leaves little lace.
Lightly sweet with treacle overtones. Some salted caramel and cocoa notes as well.
The taste is sweet and chocolatey--much like milk chocolate. Very high carbonation with a thinner body, even by Munich Dunkel standards. The aftertaste reminds me of a chocolate milkshake. The overall effect is similar to a chocolate malt from a drugstore.
