Part of a sampler 12-pack. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a pale gold color, chill haze with a modest white head.

Smell is sweet and fruity. Tropical fruits and sweet citrus aromas.

Tastes a lot like the aroma. Fruity citrus. Not much malt presence.

Feels clean and crisp.

Overall a juicy flavored IPA.

22 oz. Bomber
Best By: Nov 23 2017

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice clean/clear dark golden yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with some malts, nice little citrus complex (orange, tangerine). The taste is hoppy, slightly malty, with some citrus complex (orange, tangerine). Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew.

This pours bright gold with some floaties suspended and a big fluffy white head that sticks and laces well. Aroma bursts of tropical fruitiness and sticky pine. Flavor follows with the spectrum ranging from sweet and fruity, citrus tang, and a piney finish. Feel is dry and crisp and pretty well balanced until its final nice bitter bite. Overall, I have always liked Ninkasi IPA's, but this one seem a little more elevated of one. Great job. Cheers!

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with some floaties and a medium creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is a bit subdued with some sweet fruity piney hops.

The flavor is earthy malt with some fruit and bitter grassy ashy piney hops. The mouthfeel medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK IPA.

1L howler from Wine & Beyond - seems like a very limited release for this brewery. And I'm not talking about it, I'm WRITING about it, so there.

This beer pours a clear, medium copper amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some decent thick tree copse pattern lace around the glass as it lazily subsides.

It smells of edgy pine resin, mixed domestic citrus rind, grainy and bready caramel malt, and further leafy, weedy, and gently perfumed floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, a lesser biscuity toffee sweetness, still muddled and oily citrus esters, a minor hard water flintiness, and some zingy leafy, piney, and soused-up floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite low-key in its merely perfunctory frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and sort of smooth, with both the hops and alcohol taking a non inconsequential tithe here. It finishes off-dry, the malt, acerbic hops, and wowee sauce bending, but not breaking the rules of the lingering day.

Overall, this is an agreeable enough version of the style, big and brash in its hoppy and 15-proof boozy charge. Maybe not worth the 17 bucks from a LIQUOR STORE, but that's water under the bridge at this point. Worth checking out, if you can get your hands on it.

22oz bottle served in pint glass. Beer pours very pale yellow with lots of suspended carbonation but only a thin white head. The aroma isn't doing much for me right now, but the flavor really is fantastic: tropical, fruity, piney, resinous, floral and sweet all at once. I am way more impressed with this beer's flavor than I can recall being impressed by any Ninkasi beer before it. All this flavor and only 60 IBUs? It checks out.

Highly recommended.

Color is clear amber with attractive circles of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Aroma of tangerine with hints of peach and a whiff of the high school gym. Surprisingly light bodied.

There is an odd flavor at first sip that made me think of spoiled fruit, but it seems to be part of the "highly sought after" hop mix. Lime peel, fermenting pineapple, and more citrus. There is a mineral aftertaste followed by moderate bitterness. It's yet another IPA but it seems like a lot of bitter hops and not very pleasurable. We're so jaded. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Haggen Market in Burlington, Wash.
