A: Beautiful bright orange color with a little bit of cloudiness. I assume the haze was from the hops, as most "fresh hop" beers have this lack of clarity.

S: Sweet fruits with a little bit of bread. Aroma did not match up to the taste in terms of strength.

T: Sticky tropical hops with caramelized grapefruit mixed in. A slight bready malt. Tasted very fresh and lived up to the name. By far the best fresh hop I have had this year. The malt bill let the hops shine.

M: Fairly sticky but balanced by a good amount of carbonation.

O: Loved this beer. Best wet hop beer I have had this year, and cannot wait to have it again.

Serving type: on-tap

I had this as part of the wet hop beers on the boards at the SF Toronado.

This is the Total Domination brewed with … all the wet hops in the state of Oregon? Or at least all the Crystal hops? The rep said it was something like 5000 pounds of wet hops for something like 95 kegs of beer. (I could be off but it seemed like … a lot.)

Point is, if you’re into Crystal hops this is your beer.

This pours a golden-tan color which is radiant. Glowing, even, with a light aroma. The beer itself is clear, crisp and light—the malt complements the hops but doesn’t assert itself (which is fine by me, I’m here for the hops). I get notes of orange blossoms and lemon zest. I enjoyed the lemon notes and the clean, clear finish on this. An easy drinker but still lets you know its an IPA.

This is one of the better fresh hop brews of this 2010 Fall season. I had this on tap ay By The Bottle here in Vancouver, WA.

- Nice clear caramel ale... light fizzy white head, leaves a nice thin trace on top with a nice ring of lace.

- Big bitter pine and floral hops... light caramel malt, very light grain... hops sit up front.

- Great hops... all flavors of them, and balanced... pine, citrus, floral... smooth caramel malt, and a big bitter hit.

- Light bodied while only slightly drying and sticky...

- Overall fantastic, and very easy to drink....

this beer is great, one of the best hoppy beers i have had from these guys, just really well made, is it all crystal hops i wonder? it has that sort of old school west coast spiciness to it, like a bigger leafier cascade of sorts, bitter and vegetal, not so oily, but loaded with unadulterated wet hop goodness. strong notes of orange in the flavor, bitter peel and sweet flesh alike, and then that earthy grassy hop spice. pretty potent. orange rusty colored brew, absolutely perfectly clear, never really seen that in wet hop beer before, and holding a light inch of bubbly wheat foam. spectacular to visually admire. this is top quality beer. i feel like when these guys first showed up here in colorado everything was awesome and exciting. not it seems like old beer or less inspired stuff more often than not, so this was a needed reaffirmation of how awesome these guys are with hops. different than other wet hops beers, more bitter but also really clean compared to the field. havent seen much around unfortunately, but this is really good.

Pours dark golden with a white foamy head that slowly disappears.

Smells like straight citrus. These guys are damn proud of their crystal hops and really bring it to the forefront of the beer.

Taste is spicy citrus, very small malt which is dwarfed by the delicious hoppyness.

Mouthfeel is pretty well balanced, a tad oily and heavy. Great for a taste but after a pint or two, starts to weigh down a little.

Overall, one of the best wet hops I've had this season, if not THE best. Very happy to have found this one.

Appearance: orange in color with a 1/2" head that slowly falls. Some lace paints the glass.

Smell: floral hops and some orange citrus are detectable by the nose.

Taste: caramel, orange, lemon zest, and a fresh floral hop presence created a simple but flavorful profile.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp from the start, less crisp at the finish. Refreshing.

Overall: a well balanced beer with loads of orange and floral hops. Several of these can be had in a session.

Picked up a growler of this at NW Liquid Gold in Vancouver. Got this along with a half growler of Fresh Hop Mirror Pond to compare the two.
A: Pours an orange color with nice big frothy white head and great lacing down the glass
S: Smell is of bready malts with a very fresh smelling grassy/haylike hop scent
T: Much the same as the smell, biscuty/bready malt flavor up front. Hop flavor is piney and herbal...great hop flavor
M: Medium bodied beer, carbonation is good
O: This is a good fresh hop beer, very nice aroma and taste...glad I picked this up.

On tap at the Front Door Boise, 11.10.10, poured into a mug.

Finger and a half of rocky white head, medium dissipation with good lacing. Clear deep gold body, no visible carbonation. Nose is fairly malty compared to Total Domination, caramel, some breadiness, with a vegetal, grassy hop presence. Taste is on the citrusy side balanced by the caramel malt notes, leading to a medium bitter finish, quite a bit milder than TD. Mouthfeel a bit on the light side of medium. Drinkability good. Though I prefer regular TD, this was one of the better fresh hop beers I had this fall, though a more assertive hop might have helped, or given the late sampling date, the hops may have faded a bit.

Served on tap into a shaker glass at Laughing Planet

A- Very clear light copper color with visible carbonation and frothy lace that left webbed lacing

S- Some pungent grapefruit, pine, and sweet caramel notes

T- Big pungent pine and grapefruit, little bit of tropical fruits up front, lots of bitterness in the middle of the tongue, and finishes without much flavor

M- Medium body, soft carbonation, semi-dry

O- Lots of really nice flavors up front, quite a bit of bitterness in the middle of the tongue, but the finish was almost flavorless.

Served on draft into a 16 ounce tumbler.

Decent ale overall, but nothing that that stands out that would make me want to order it again.

Coloring was a nice reddish copper with a big head.

Nose was sort of subdued. Didn't notice much.

Taste wise it was balanced but sort of plain. The malts and hops were very subdued and basic.

A: Poured a nice, bright orange with a big white cap, loads o bubbls andmderat lacing

S: Floral notes backed up by bread

T: Immediate Pale malt influence wth floral and citrus notes and a moderate breadiness. A little bit of booze, more floral notes and moderate bitter finish

M: Medium bodied, well carbonated, not much on th bittering hops but the Pale malt and floral notes

O: A bit different but not bad. The usage of Crystal hops is a bit unique.

Growler from the Growler Guys in Meridian... It has been on at a couple other places too. Pours clear orange with a short-lived white head.. Hops in the nose show as grassy with some melon notes... The hops don't translate well to the palate, instead it has a pretty bruising bitterness with little complexity to stand up mid-palate.. Not my favorite, but not bad.. Just outside my wheelhouse.

Had this beer on thanksgiving and we all poured out half of the growler we got... this beer tastes just like every other poorly made ipa. Apple's and bitterness.

Poorly made ipa
