This ABC has the best beer selection of any ABC in town. And its prices are hard to beat, with discounts for larger orders. But don't make a special trip there to get beer.

Almost all beer is refrigerated, with some cases for sale at room temp. They don't have much American craft beer. They focus on imports.

Staff are friendly, but don't expect them to know anything about beer or ask if you need any help.

Whole Foods has a better selection of beer in Sarasota, but if you don't feel like going there, you'll probably find a good import at this ABC.

This isn't your grandpa's liquor store, it isn't even like most ABC's you remember, it's really nice.
Wide aisles that you can push real carts down without running into people, good lighting, friendly, helpful staff, well marked displays.
The beer coolers are many and well stocked with cases and 4 or 6 packs but the more unusual brews are only available warm, not really an odd situation at all.
Additionally, the seasonal brews get cleared out, placed in a cart and marked down. Let the savings begin. I actually got a bomber for $1.99 (once) and normally 12 oz. bottles are around $0.99 without any limit. A friend actually bought the entire cartful once.
Occasional beer sampling only make it better.
If this one is too far away for you, there is an equivalent store on Manatee Av. & 59th St. West in Bradenton and one slightly smaller one on University Parkway just west of Tuttle Av.

This ABC is slightly larger than most I've visited and they have devoted an aisle to craft and Belgian brews that are not refrigerated. They will special order and they are quick to mark things down when they aren't selling. I haven't been lucky enough to make such a catch but I keep hearing about a day late (not a dollar short though). They have a nice selection of little gifts and a great walk-in humidor as well. Their selection is almost as big as our Whole Foods but doesn't compare to the Tampa retail beer stores. Worth a visit depending on what you are looking for. Quite easy to find at Bee Ridge and Tuttle intersection.

This ABC has a pretty good selection of craft brews. All beers in the store are available to buy as singles, which is nice. The prices are reasonable, although I have seen some of their products for a dollar or two less at other stores in town. The service people I delt with were friendly enough. There are a few better places in town, but with the price of gas right now, if you're driving by it's worth a stop. If you plan to stop by often, they offer an ABC card which gives discounts on partial or whole purchases from time to time.
