I bought this in a 8-pack Mircobrewery variety pack from Woodman's in Janesville, WI for $12 in late 2010.

Like other reviewers, my bottle says it's from Blu Creek Brewing in Black River Falls, WI which doesn't exist as a listing but this is the most active link so I'm going with this.

Pours a cloudy amber color as the aromas of fruits tickle your nose as well as wheat. Has a smooth fruity taste that you could compare to fruity pebbles. Perhaps it's not the best fruit beer on the market, but it was still good and very drinkable.

Welll, gosh, not quite sure what to say. On one hand, the aroma and flavor have pretty decent true blueberry characteristics and is not cloyingly sweet. On the other hand it's a little thin and shallow in all the other beer qualities. Poured with a nice fine light tan to off white head that mostly faded and no lace. Color is a clear medium amber. Can smell the blueberry as soon as bottle is cracked. Other than that some malt. Flavor's about the same. Body is thin and carbonation is ok. Finish is blueberry ok. Not really a session for me, but maybe for someone.

Pours a slightly hazed, slightly lighter amber. Nose is slight blueberry tones. Taste is blueberry, sure. Kind of a one dimensional hit. A bit earthy, but not much. Not much wheat character. This is another fruit flavored wheat beer. Nothing to run to the store for, but nothing to run away from.

Looks like a most other amber ales but with a shade of orange.

Smells like fruity pebbles, strong blueberry aroma.

A good smooth tasting beer. Blueberry is more of an after taste and not as overwhelming as its scent had suggested. Taste as if the blueberries were a part of the brewing process and not like juice was added in at the end like many fruit beers I've had in the past. Also has a slightly sour finish which compliments the sweet blueberry taste very well.

Decent mouthfeel and I will definitely finish this six pack soon, very sessionable in my opinion.

Somewhat dark amber bodied brew, two finger cream head ends up disappearing without much lacing. Nose is mostly blueberry on top of a light malt. Taste is somewhat acidic, nice blueberry flavor, seems like wheat malts. Pretty light bodied, also pretty creamy feel. Nothing amazing here, but its a pretty nice light beer that would be nice to have during a nice hot day.

12 oz. bottle tried 22 Feb 2009. Courtesy of R&S, thanks guys!

Label says 'BluCreek Brewing Black River Falls Wisconsin', somewhat of a hybrid of the two mentions here.

Poured in shaker pint glass. Minimal off white head. Moderate carbonation. Hazy pinkish amber color. Smells like blueberry pancakes from far away. Very light watered down blueberry flavor in watered down beer. Mildly sweet with a mostly tart finish and aftertaste, very slight touch of citrus. Light body, minimal alcohol.

Unlikely to get this again.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with CaptainCougar (thanks!).

Poured a medium and hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. As soon as I popped the cap off this one, I could smell blueberries. Aromas of blueberries, a little yeasty/crustiness, and Welch's Grape Juice. Tastes of blueberries and grains.

The pour makes me optomistic...rich amber with a two finger head. It isa a great beer if you want to throw back beer, but also want to eat a muffin. Very strong blueberry taste and it really does smell like muffins. And as many times as I have cleaned my tap line, my Fat Squirrel still tatse like Blueberry. There might be a great beer hiding under all of this bluberry though.

Very quick head that leaves a thin island of foam in the middle of the brew. Hazey rust amber with bright orange highlights around the edges. No bubbling. Adjuncty toasted malts with light blueberry juice. Fruity, blueberry juice starts the palate off nicely. Then quickly showing a few other light berry favors. The toasted malt is nice a first. But rushes into a little musty and adjuncty. Quick juicey palate, to cheap malt, then to nothing. Still refreshing though.

Appearance: Amber with a thin head.

Smell: Tangy blueberries and seltzer.

Taste: Kind of a strange mix. Some citric bite to start before yeasty bread, then a light blueberry aftertaste.

Drinkability: Sort of interesting to try, unoffensive.

Picked up a single to try of this beer. I like blueberries and I like beer, this was a decent try but nothing special.

This beer pours a cloudy amber-orange color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes rather quickly into decent lacing. The aroma is of blueberries with a nice wheaty twang. The taste has some faint blueberries, and a very mild hint of wheat. It is a very pleasant taste, but would be a lot nicer if it were a little stronger. The mouthfeel is thin and watery. Overall, this is a decent beer, but I do not think I will drink it again.

This beer pours a golden amber colored with a tight head. Smells like blueberries, but seems a bit contrived. This beer goes down easy with a nice malt flavour followed by blueberries. The blueberry tastes like it is from an extract, greatly detracting from its appeal.

Saw that it was a Wisconsin Brewery and thought alright something new and kind of local, but it then says that it uses Maine blueberries and I start to suspect that it is nothing but an extract job. Hell for $8 I figured it worth a shot on a hot weekend.

Pours a amber tinged gold color with a decent head. The smell up front is sweet blueberry, with a malt body, a little alcohol, and plenty of CO2. I am really surprised by the blueberry flavor and it has lots of character up front, but not the syrupy extract fakeness a first. The base beer is pretty decent and might be worth a shot on its own, with a malty taste but a lack of wheat. The finish on this beer is pretty dry but the tainted extract taste blooms in the aftertaste however in all honesty I got used to it and kind of liked it. I drank the shit out of this six pack and would do so again.

Hmmmm.... not a bad blueberry beer - especially since it doesn't ring of blueberry extract. In fact, the blueberry seems quite natural (although I'd guess it may be a combination as it's hard to get such a strong aroma without extract). The clear deep-gold body and short but creamy white head is nice. The smooth medium body is soft, supporting its malty sweetness. And the flavor is a combination of caramelish malt and fruity-but-not-sweet blueberry. A firm bitterness backs it, and although it expresses blueberries throughout, it finishes dry despite the lingering fruit flavor. Pretty nicely done.
