A American-Style Pale Ale with an extra hop kick! A crisp, quenching ale with hints of grapefruit in the bitterness. A little malted Oat added to the mix to lend a nice texture and balance to all that hoppy goodness!

Drank on tap at local restaurant in Anchorage. Not much on the nose. Very hoppy beer. Plenty of bitter, touch of grapefruit on an almost herbal, skunky weed finish.

Had this draft at Humpy's Great Alaskan Ale House in the airport at Anchorage, Alaska. It has a distinctive strong hoppy and citrus smell and the color is dark amber. It has medium lacing and a clean hoppy finish. The head poured at one finger and remained as a very thin foam which kept lacing for half the glass. The carbonation was strong and the mouth-feel was medium heavy and not too watery. The flavor was a strong medium bitterness hops, pine, and citrus that complements the smell very well. the Kenai River brew was very balanced and would be a very good with-seafood beer as it doesn't overpower the palate but seems to deliver flavor that matches the aroma in terms of strength.

IBU 74

On tap at the Anchorage Airport Humpy's.

A - Pours a darker, slightly hazy yellow with a nice fluffy white head. Good retention and lots of lacing left on the glass.

S - Pretty mild, but some wheat and citrus to come through.

T - Very nice citrus, mostly grapefruit and some lemons.

D - Nice carbonation and body.

O - I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Very refreshing and tasty. I wish I had more time to drink more.
