Arbor Brewing Mr. Delicious.

Anddddd I'm just now noticing this is likely an older bottle since it is a winter release. Oh well, Arbor usually makes a pretty solid offering, especially when it comes to IPAs. So let's see how it held up.

Look - Pours a deep murky amber with a perfectly shaped two finger off white head that sticks around and looks sexy like a blonde bimbo with big fake boobs. Having a hard time getting a read on the carbonation due to the high level of murk. Head retains well throughout the drink and leaves a fairly impressive amount of lacing.5..

Smell - Overly ripe bananas with a touch of earthy onion and a large dose of maltyness that takes over the nose. Oh jeeze. Please not the onions. 3.

Taste - Overly ripe bananas dominate the entirety of the flavor. Luckily the onion aspect present in the nose doesn't make much of an appearance here. Alcohol is pretty well hidden and hard to detect. Earthy hops and a bit of dirt in the finish. 3.5

Feel - Well rounded full body with a heavy load of carbonation. The onions once again become present as the beer sits in your mouth. Highly creamy due to the well retained head. 3.5.

Overall - Pretty pissed I didn't get to try this fresh. Even more pissed that my go to shop is knowingly putting up DIPAs that are well over six months old and steel wooling off the dates. But hey, guess when you go to a shop where nobody has a clue about beer you should know what to expect. Girl behind the counter with the tattoos is cute though. Despite the age, the beer wasn't too shabby though I wouldn't have another in its current condition. 3.5.

This beer is aptly named, and honestly unlike any other I've ever tried. Still kind of a novice, but I'd love to find more Michigan IPAs like this one.

meh, a decent floral IPA that was WAY overpriced for what it is. looks & smells nice, tastes like a floral cent. hop IPA, which is fine. but it's been done better.
took a shot & wasn't disappointed, but it's not something I'd shell out $16 a 6 pack for.
I'll waste my money on an abbey if I feel spend-y again one day.
worth a try if you are REALLY into IPAs though.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter.

A very nice golden hue with a decent head that dissipated not too quickly. The aroma has a hint of barrel aged (even though it's not) with a hint of floral hops. The taste follows: a pleasant balance between malt and hops, with a lingering sweet grapefruit.

It's good to find another beer that I like from ABC which is local to me. I'll look for this one again as I'm becoming a fan of DIPAs.

AP: Murky orange, like 6 month old pennies. Decent thin foamy head with lacing that sticks the length of the glass AR: smells like caramel topped pineapple upside down cake. Over ripe tropical fruit, mostly mango and pineapple. TA: follows the aroma. Pineapple, mango and grapefruit predominate with some orange rind mixed in. Sweet bready caramel malts. Finishes with a nice sticky resinous bite. MF: sticky and oily. Coats but doesn't stick. OV: really good representation of a super fruity DIPA.

I picked up a single 12 oz bottle on lark when shopping at Sicilianos. I liked the label art and the name. No visible bottling date, or ABV, or IBU markings.

L: Pours a deep opaque amber color. Big head from a slightly aggressive pour. Lacing lingers through out the tasting.
S: A double IPA that smells maybe like a single IPA. I don't know, maybe my nose is off but I'm having trouble picking up any predominant smells. Maybe an understated grapefruit citrus, but that's it.
T: Nice, honey brewed, DIPA. Trying to be Lagunitas Maximus or Bell's Hopslam. Falls bit short. Very good, but not great DIPA.
F: Slightly sticky on the tongue, as expected from this style.
O: I would be interested in trying this one again. Maybe We'll try this one on tap on my next visit to the Big House.

Solid beer
