The aroma on this beer was very good. Not a big fan of mango aroma or flavor (which this beer had some of) but I thought the overall aroma was more than pleasant for an IPA. I was expecting a little more citrus flavor based on the aroma, but what I got was mostly resinous. I thought the beer flavor was well balanced but could have used a bit more malt. Enjoyed this single and will likely buy a six pack!

a: Thin, slightly off-white head. Cloudy. Straw colored.
s: Aroma is predominately hops which are mango, orange, and grapefruit in nature. Slightly floral and piney hop aroma too. No esters. No malt aroma. No strong alcoholic notes
t: Strong forward hop bitterness. Bitterness pretty much plows over an hop flavor, but the hop flavor seems to be predominantly resinous with some citrus noticed at the end with mango seeming to be the dominant flavor. Slight malt sweetness that supports the strong bitterness. Finishes dry. Bitter aftertaste but no harshenss. No diacetyl.
m: Medium body, moderately-high carbonations. Some alcohol warmth.

Bottle into tulip

Appearance - Pale orange, gold, about 1 finger white head.

Smell - Pungent pine, resin, grapefruit and slight pineapple.

Taste - Flavor of pine, grapefruit, good balance between bitter and tart. Slight ground pepper spiciness. Light malts with a subtle roastiness, dried out piny bitterness at the end that lingers as the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp, refreshing.

Overall - Good beer. With this brewed year round you can't go wrong trying it. Lots of hoppy character that is sure to grab your attention right off the bat.

Purchased at Champagne's $2.99 for a 12oz bottle. Served at 6deg C in a draught glass

A- Opens well and pours a 2" high white head that lasts for 2mins before film out. Very dark gold colour and unfiltered

S- Nice sour character. After that the standard high sweetness heavy malt starts to shine through

T- Nice blend of bitter and sweet. Nothing outrageous but it's all there in malt, yeast and hops.

M- Nice and dry with a great tartness that almost stings at times which is why the extra quarter point isn't there

O- Nice brew. Has a pleasant sipping nature that won't overpower you with sweetness or bitterness. Good for a nice fall cool night

Food Pairing

This rather good brew went very well with...... Hot sausage, egg, onion, rice and butter stir fry. Pretty easy to use up some leftovers quick

Enjoy
