Wait, let me look around and see. Yeah, we're still in Ann Arbor. Where's the sun? Okay, there, yes, it's early. I know that. And I know I don't need to be watching the clock but I have a distorted sense of time and space. Somebody's got to keep an eye on what's what here, or we'll be late in getting to the airport to wait around. We've got time...
An angled "L" shaped copper topped bar seating a dozen greets you front row center with a bar back of booze shelving, glassware, growlers, pitchers, and a small fridge with their house Belgians (Blonde, Triple, Kriek, Framboise). Brick exterior walls and pale blue inner walls, pressed tin ceiling with fans and track spotlighting, and lots of wood trim. Beyond the bar to the right is a seating area holding a dozen booths and a handful of tables running from the rear up to the enormous front windows on one side of the door. On the other side sits 3 tables in a front nook beneath Arbor Brewing posters, awards, framed certificates, and articles from the Ann Arbor News, Observer, Detroit News, Current, and Metro Times. 5 tables beyond running back along the side wall.
Upwards of a dozen and a half tables & booths in the side room, with old Guinness ads, frisbees, beer can displays, blues & jazz street art fair posters, ads and fliers of Stevie Ray Vaughn playing locally, an area with 3 dart boards to the front and windows looking on the copper kettles in the brew room through long narrow side windows.
In a side room through the side room can be found a small straight bar seating 9 along the front window and 4 long narrow tables seating 8 a piece. A mirrored back unit shows booze below glassware and a row of taps and 2 handpumps on the bar. Drop lighting & wall mounted lantern lighting over planters, a central TV above a juke box to the rear of the room, French/Belgian beer posters and coaster displays (mostly English Bitters & Milds).
8 taps in all. 6 house beers and 2 guest taps (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale & Pilsner Urquell) over 2 towers and 2 hand pumps. The Red Snapper Special Bitter was deep red, malty, caramel, sweet; the Bavarian Bliss Hefe was nicely banana & clove; the Faricy Fest Irish Stout was creamy, mildly bitter, roasty, chalky, burnt coffee, espresso; the Super Snapper, their 10th anniversary beer was like the Red Snapper but twice the alcohol & hoppy as all hell; the cask Sacred Cow IPA was cascade, floral, grapefruit; and the cask Milestone Porter was raisins, fruit, licorice, with a sour nicety. Says Randall, "Holy shit, that's as good as fuck". They also carry a decent collection of guest bottles. 5 German Hefes, Hitachino Nest, St. B Wit, Blance De Chamblay, Spanish Peaks Raspberry, Harpoon UFO.
Beers were solid, service was plesant enough, would've been nice to spend more time but I'm sure there's always more to see.

Went on a recent visit to Ann Arbor, went for a late night snack with my grown children. We were excited that the menu included pierogi, which is hard to come across in Texas. The Korean barbecue flavored wings were also a hit. I had a Belgian style tripel that was pretty good. The service was great and we enjoyed the visit. Would go back next time in AA.

Nice selection of house drafts and bottles, also have some guest taps. Service was.......bad. Empty glasses sat as I wished for another beer, food order was not put in by our waitress (she did apologized for this). Food finally arrived, warm at best. All in all not impressed by beer, food, or service. I am by far a patient person but if this place was in my hometown it would be a one and done experience.

My wife and I stopped here to see the results of their remodeling and to experience this brewery for the purposes of this review. We've been here many times before but have never written a review. This was also the first stop of an afternoon pub crawl. We had lunch and a sampler flight of 6 beers knowing that we couldn't have any more than that with three more pubs to visit.

All of the beers that we chose are also available in bottles on store shelves, so we were disappointed that there were no pub-only options. However, we had not previously had one of the beers, the pilsner, so we made it a point to choose it. We have always liked Arbor's beers, and today was no exception. All were what we remembered them being, and the pilsner was one of the best that we've had at a craft brewery. Aside from the 6-packs of their regular beers that are in a cooler for carry-out sales, there were also several specialty beers available in 750 ml. bottles, and we chose to purchase the sour version of their 20th anniversary barleywine. We're looking forward to popping that cork.

The food has always been very good here, and our lunch selections were no different. The menu has changed a bit since our last visit several years ago (a more healthy, organic theme), and the new choices are what we focused on for our lunch.

We go back a ways with our appreciation for this pub, and today's visit further cemented our desire to continue to support this brewery.

This was a quick stop drank 2 pints. One a very meh sour and a nice chili porter. Service was self service to the bar. The bar tender was a bit slow. The selection was what was expected with a couple positive bumps. The food I did not try. We used to have an option for N/A. So I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say food is at least average and edible.
