I've been into Florida Wine & Spirits a couple of times and I have to say that everyone working there is nice and friendly. It's a nice store with a nice layout, but frankly when it comes to beer it's lacking. There is some good beer and this is a good place to grab a sixer if you are in the neighborhood (or a bottle of wine or spirits), but the beer selection really isn't very good and it's not worth making a destination if you're not local or literally in the neighborhood. Some fairly typical micros and imports are available. Decent store for locals looking to grab a six on the fly. A handful of singles were available.

Florida Wine & Spirits has become my place to go when I'm looking for a little bit more then other local areas offer. FW&S are not big on selection, which is a draw back, but focus on quality/more sought after brews. CCB, Terrapin, SN anniversary, DFH 750mls is the kind of stuff they stock. They aren't the cheapest in the area, but their prices are below average.

Their beer management sets them apart. No place around here (and even Orlando) was stocking Hoppin' Frog. In less than two week FW&S ordered a case of BORIS and other Hoppin' Frog brews at my request. Very knowledgeable, and beer advocate like staff.

Bottom line: Florida Wine & Spirits is a fairly young shop located in a brand new town. Their selection will only grow as their business grows. I predict in 5 years or less this will become a go to spot for beer in Brevard.

Coming back from the Orlando airport towards Indialantic, I decided to break from the monotony of I-95 and thought I'd try to find Florida Wine & Spirits. It was pretty easy to find, and in the area that I was expecting, in a shopping plaza on the corner of Vierra & Murrel Blvds. I walked in and immediately noticed a huge selection of wines in floor racks, arranged by style and not country -- an arrangement that I like. They've also got a nice humidor and an apparant good selection of liqour.

Back in the beer section, to tell you the truth...I was a bit disappointed. They've got the full macro selection, as well as the Schenk distributor selection with Sam Adams and their seasonal mix pack. Unique Beers' selection is decently represented with most of the range of Dogfish products and a large Shipyard selection. No MicroMan beers were to be found. The only Belgian was the Chimay gift pack for $12.99 -- which I bought.

It's probably a godsend to have Florida Wine & Spirits in the area if you live in Viera, but if you live anywhere near Downtown Produce or the Satellite Beach ABC, I don't see any reason for going.

Having said that, the lady working there was very attentive, friendly and forthcoming with information. She did a good job and mentioned that I could order any beer that was available in Florida. At the register she mentioned that she'd never tried Chimay.
