Manica is a common style euro type pale ale. The beer pours clear and golden with an initial foamy white head that disappears after a while. The scent carries corn with a sweet tinge. The taste is definitely on the sweeter side with a maize backdrop. The mouthfeel is light in body with subtle carbonation. Overall its very drinkable and woyld be perfect after a day in hot weather.

Thanks to travlr for bringing this back and sharing at a recent tasting. Served in a SAVOR snifter.

Pour yields a brew that is completely transparent with just a hint of straw coloring to it. Minimal head on the pour, and that almost immediately disappears. The nose has some light creamed corn along with a bit of faint grain and very, very mild hops. The flavor is more of the same. Not as offensive as some of the others, but still pretty bad. Really light with a somewhat-bitter finish.

From 03/27/11 notes. Thanks to Travir (RB) for bringing this one, as well as a few others, back from Africa.

a - Pours a clear golden straw color with an inch of white head and light carbonation evident.

s - Smells like a MBC product. Grain, bready malts, and wheat. Not offensive, but very bland and unimpressive.

t - Tastes of grain and bready malts. Again, tastes like a BMC American adjunct lager, which isn't that good.

m - Light body and moderate carbonation.

d - Overall, not a very good beer. While not the worst African beer I had on Sunday, I imagine this as a lower quality Bud Light. Wouldn't want to have again.
