Very Good
Delicious IPADelicious IPA
Notes: A citrusy IPA with Lemondrop & El Dorado hops
Crafted to reduce gluten
First Release: January 2015

While our beers are many and diverse, yet unified by overarching boldness, India pale ales are our undeniable bread and butter. The result is an intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer is worthy of the simple-yet-lordly title of Stone Delicious IPA. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a magnificent lemon candy-like flavor that’s balanced by hop spice. It’s unlike anything we’ve tasted in nearly two decades of IPA experimentation, and another lupulin-laced creation we’re excited to introduce to hopheads everywhere.

19.2 oz can purchased from American Market ( used to be Capital Market) in Salem OR.
Pours a semi darker golden colour with a lovely thick and frothy white head.
Aroma is hoppy. Mostly citrus/grapefruit. Simple and clean.
Taste also bitter..but its like a bitter orange creamsicle thing..very good.
Mouth feel is medium with medium to high a rather "brisk" drinkable feel. Nice. Clean .
Really nice citrus IPA

Oh no, a gluten-free beer? Ugh totally didn't notice that on this 19.2oz can. Pouring in a pint glass. Crystal clear and medium golden brass in color, with a nice white foam. Flavor is incredibly crisp with a pleasantly sharp citrus pith bite, evoking lemon and grapefruit. Beyond that flavor profile there's no additional bitterness, and it finishes remarkably clean considering. Malt body is vanishingly thin which is not a surprise for any number of reasons.

Dated 04/04/22 enjoy by 08/02/22.

Pours a golden amber in color with minimal head and lacing as you drink. Carbonation looks average. Reminiscent of a Stone IPA, but with less head.

Aroma is not overly pungent, perhaps I should let it warm a bit (the malts come through a bit more as it warms, but otherwise much of the same). Picking up notes of citrus and tropical fruits with some earthiness, spice and a hint of bubble gum in the background. Alcohol is slightly detectable at 7.7% ABV.

Flavor is very predominantly hops across the full spectrum. Starts off with a little bit of balance with the toasty, biscuity malts and quickly climaxes with a pine resin and grapefruit rind hop avalanche that coats the tongue. I'd imagine the malts are a bit subdued due to the gluten reduction process. This is certainly a palate wrecker, but it's pretty tasty.

Mouthfeel is on the heavier side of medium bodied with smooth, zesty carbonation and a ton of chewiness. She thicc. The hop oil definitely coats the tongue after the swallow. I would not want to drink more than a few of these for fear of a hangover, but I quite enjoy the mouthfeel otherwise.

Overall this is a powerfully hoppy, reduced gluten brew. If you're not into hops, this is definitely not for you, but if you are, it is has a very fresh and pungent hop flavor that is sure to please. I think I prefer the Stone IPA over this one, but I definitely wouldn't turn it down if offered. Even with the high hoppiness it feels pretty gentle on the stomach. Another good one from Stone, cheers!

A medium dark golden amber is immediately noticeable upon the pour. Medium sized head formed with some lacing remaining. This is definitely a lemony, citrusy IPA. It's more like a floral lemon than a grapefruit citrus, but it is noticeable bitter to the point of being resinous, as there is an IPA bite that is bitterly refreshing with a full bodied carbonated feel which borders on syrupiness. There is a noticeable lack of maltiness between the hopiness, which could be a result of the gluten reduction, but who knows. It's very boozy, you could feel the booze hit you on the first sip. Overall it was as described, but the lack of malt may have deprived some padding from bitterness. A purveyor of hops would enjoy. Bottled 9/27/21 and consumed on 4/14/22 with an "Enjoy By" of 1/25/22.

Canned 2/14, consumed 4/7/22. Nearly, but not perfectly, clear gold color, 3-finger initial head after vigorous pour into a tall tulip glass, giving way to a thin film, minimal lacing. Almost no detectable smell, perhaps some hoppy citrus. Very hoppy/ quite bitter, somewhat citrusy taste. Moderate body , clean finish. Overall a nice beer at the price point and a nice 12 oz can offering

L: Pours a clear orange, eggshell colored head fades quickly and leaves so,e nice Lacing.
S: Nose gets a bit of citrus.
T: Kind of a funky stale taste.
F: Thin and flat.
O: It says gluten reduced on the can, maybe that's why the flavor is off. I did not like this beer all.

LOOK: Pours a very hazy and very light orange with an all white head with good retention and side glass lace.
AROMA: Sour, lemon peel pine resin.
TASTE: Pine resin, quite sour to the point where the citrus notes take a back seat. Hop bitterness is strong. Very dank.
Didn't care for this one.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped for canning date as '05/16/21' and best by date of '09/16/21', so canned about five months ago. We will see (bought at a single).
A little cloudy, pale gold colored body. Three fingers of white head upon pouring, which retreats to a partial cap. Leaves some short strings of lacing.
Aroma is quite malty sweet, with some orange citrus hops.
Taste is quite hop spicy, and the lemon candy flavor is somewhat there. Less malt expression in the taste than in the nose. A bit of bitterness in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with a dry finish. Good carbonation.
I get the gist of what the prime of this beer was, and based on that, the beer is kind of old school and resin enjoyable.

Honestly I did not like this beer at all it hits the palate okay at first but the Finish is a nasty skunky like you just took a drink of a stale Budweiser taste. I would not buy the beer again and really surprised at the high reviews it has.

I like stone logo & artwork on the can. The pour is golden yellow. The taste is lemon, lime, & tangerine. I recommend that you put back the gluten in the beer, like others have already stated on this page it's just an okay IPA. Oh well, at least it has a good dose of alcohol, I would not call this a delicious IPA. Cheers! B-

Clear, amber/gold appearance with an average size white head and decent lacing. Aroma of citrus playing off tropical fruit. Taste improves on the nose. While the citrus is still ever present, now a fuller, more bitter, resinous flavor moves in. Aftertaste provides plenty of spiciness. Seems more potent than the abv might suggest. Thought at first that this one was going to collapse into the abyss of mediocrity, but fortunately, it rises above the herd.
