Brewed by:

Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.40%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
After brewing this intense double IPA with more than 10 different hops and consistently delivering it faster than any bottled IPA on the planet, we decided to do something different with this Stone Enjoy By IPA—we took it to another level, again. Puréed tangerines were added to the batch to create a devastatingly fresh IPA with a tang of tangerine. The flavors yielded by this addition to the recipe meld beautifully with the bitterness of the hops. True to this series, Stone Enjoy By Tangerine IPA is brewed specifically NOT to last, and should be enjoyed within 37 days.

Where is the tangerine? I get plenty of sweetness and alcohol but no tangerine. Slightly dank but not nearly as impressive as I was expecting and hoping for.

A- Pours a medium, sappy golden with a white head.
S- Sweet and not acidic citrus, underplayed with tropical hops.
T- Sweet citrus, malts, but the citric acid and hoppy profile balance nicely.
M- Coating, lighter body than I remember on the regular enjoy by. Slightly drying. Low-medium carbonation.
D- Great beer and nice change of pace, but I would rate the OG higher.

Nice dark-gold color. Small but lasting head. Medium glass lacing.
Hop aroma for sure. Tangerine-peel smell finish (or is that psychosomatic?)
The ABV comes through strong in the taste but I was impressed with the subtle citrus. Just right as compared to Citresenous which I found too strong on the tangerine.
Mouth feel is spot on, just the right carbonation to push it around the buds.
As much as I liked this, I think it would be better if the alcohol taste wasn't so prominent.

A clear copper-colored beer. Fluffy white head with a bit of lace.
Citrus aroma. Floral/herbal.
The hops dominated the taste. The tangerine was on the subtle side.
Another winner from Stone.

12 oz bottle, enjoy by 05.30.16. Pours clear copper gold with a big frothy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is citrus fruits and piney resiny hops.

The flavor is fruity piney resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, I like additional fruitiness but it tastes slightly chemical. I like the original slightly better.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy Amber with a thin white head.

Smell: Mostly citrus with a hint of Pine notes.

Mouthfeel/ Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of sweeter citrus and bitter hops.

Overall: Good IPA. I would have this one again if it was brewed again.

Tangerine aroma, with some other citrus/tropical notes and oil. Taste has a slightly sweet malt core with loads of tangerine and fresh hops on top. Orange, grapefruit, mango, peach, pine - lots going on but the tangerine hides some of it. Medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy and oily. Mostly dry finish. Very ready to drink, especially considering the abv.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into an IPA glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Slight finger of white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A dank and juicy hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus fruit and pine. Upfront citrus hop scent with some tangerine, orange peel, grapefruit, mango, and lemon along with pineapple. Dank scent of pine resin, grass, and slight cannabis. Light malt hints of caramel and grains with some yeast. A really nice juicy aroma.

Taste: Like the smell gives off, a juicy and piney hop driven taste with notes of citrus fruit and pine. Big upfront juicy citrus notes of tangerine, orange peel, mango, grapefruit, and lemon with some pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Background malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker along with yeast. A very good juicy taste.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, oily, and somewhat creamy with a drying finish. Alcohol is hidden well.

Overall: A pretty good twist on Enjoy By. A little sweeter and less bitter than the original but the juicy dankness is still there.

Pale straw yellow, crystal clear with a frothy head of light beige foam that settles quickly. Aroma of fresh tangerine and orange rind. Flavor is a bit more muted, not as bright as the aroma, but hoppy and tasty. Malty balance, chewy honey and biscuit malt. Range rind lingers. Full mouthfeel, creamy. Lots of hop flavors, not overly bitter, delicious beer.
