Nugget, Super Galena, Simcoe, Delta, Target, Amarillo, Cascade, Galaxy, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka & Helga hops.

For this version of Stone Enjoy By IPA we thought: “We don’t always have a filter, so why should our beer?” By skipping a step and letting this devastatingly fresh, golden-hued double IPA go un filtered, the beer takes on a hazy appearance and its peach and tropical fruit hop aroma are intensified. So though it may sound like it, this missed step was no misstep.

Like the other IPAs in this series, this version is brewed specifically NOT to last.

They still know how to make IPAs, no doubt.
Pours a slightly hazed apricot orange with scant half finger of bubbly white head.
Aroma is a beautiful hop explosion of ripe orange, tangerine, mango and pine with some bready malt.
Sweet citrus and mango, tropical fruit on the palate but quickly followed by an assertive piney, resinous and slightly herbal bitterness, a bit of booziness.
Sticky bittersweet medium full mouthfeel with nice carbonation and a touch of boozy heat.

Lightly hazy, bright golden hue, slim ivory head.

In the nose: pouring out citrus and tropical tones, arresting and lively. Shockingly pithy and poignant.

In the mouth: Aggressively assertive bitterness blazes the palate, with the fire and the fury of the high alcohol ready at its command. Huge hoppiness. Bitterness delivers. Citrus and tropical notes offer a sweetness to match the bitter, with high firepower poised right behind it. Medium bodied, long, bitter finish. Great complexities in this, and an abundance of pleasure.

Just about yum a dum, dum. Wait, hold on...yeah. Candied fruit, mixed with magical pixie dust, and big ol' booze. I'm digging it. Holding onto one last bottle for tomorrow night, to welcome in 2021, and hope it doesn't resemble 2020.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip snifter. Pours hazy orange yellow with a nice off white head. Smells of grassy and citrus hops, very inviting. Tastes of citrus and grassy hops very nice with a decent grain backbone. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Look: golden yellow/bronze with a little haze; decent head on the pour that dissipates quickly
Smell: pine, grapefruit/citrus; maybe a little biscuit/bread from the malt
Taste: What an IPA should be - nice bitterness from the hops to balance the malt; little citrus; dry; great balance and not boozy
Mouthfeel: crisp, dry, full-bodied
Overall: one of my favorite beers

Drinking this on New Year's Day 2021 at my favorite tap room in Greenville NC, Tapped Drafts and Crafts.
The Enjoy By 01/21 version
Poured from a tap into a Snifter.
Looks, a nice foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin ring and nice lacing with a hazy golden yellow color.
Smells biscuity, grapefruit, sweet, peach and mango.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium thick for the style and balances the hops quite well.
Overall a very nice Imperial IPA that hides it's ABV 9.4 quite well.
Today is the last day for this brew! LOL!
Looking forward to next year's release.
Cheers!

Pours a hazy, golden color with little head. It’s got a little more earthy or piney aroma than the expected fruity one. It’s got a great hoppy flavor but very smooth for a DIPA. I guess really enjoy this series!

Tasted the Enjoy By 1-1-2021 sometime in Dec 2020.
*Looks: light golden colored, clean, good 1-1.5 finger head.
*Aroma: The Best aromas of any other IPAs in the world: tropical, citrus, floral, hoppy, piny.
*Taste: Superb! Complex! Tropical, Dry with good balance, Hoppy with good balance, Alcohol is so well hidden at 9.4%!!!
*Finish: decent crisp, hoppy bite but not overwhelming. The finish keeps you wanting more!
**Final Verdict**:
This in my view is THE BEST DOUBLE IPA ON THIS PLANET and Stone’s Best Creation. Best smelling IPA. Best tasting IPA with balanced hops with just the right bite!!! Supremely crafted, this beer should be declared a National Treasure. Amazing and so much better than the over-hyped Pliny the Elder.

I really want to like Stone Brewing, but...

...I can't seem to really find a consistent series of offerings that I like. Take this one for instance, one of their Enjoy By series, this one being by or before 01-Jan-21. Great looking beer, smells fruity and delicious, but damn, it way too bitter and well, weird tasting for my liking. I'm sure there are many out there that will swear by this unfiltered IPA, but if unfiltering is what gives it the weird taste, well then, I'll pass on this trend.

Enjoy By 01-01-21 version bought from Trader Joes room temp shelf as a single 12 oz bottle ($2.50) on about 12/16, consumed on 12/20. Pours a beautiful hazy, but not even approaching opaque, tangerine color with fluffy white head about 2 fingers thick in a tall tulip glass and steady stream of bubbles. Head gradually dissipates leaving a thin film still covering the brew when the glass is drained. Some (a little) lacing but not the high point of the appearance. This is a beautiful beer in a proper glass. Smell and flavor are both reminiscent of tangerines but not overtly in-your-face fruity. Nice balance with the malt. Low carbonation mouthfeel that I like. Overall nice hazy, but I am not sure if it is among my favorites in the price range.

Vintage 01.01.21. Pricey but worth it. A fresh taste always. Looking forward to the next iteration.
